Summary: This is the worst TV ever to buy. Like everyone else I had the same problem with my TV picture went out and wouldn't come back on. The TV was not even a year old. I in fact did contact Sylvania first before I did anything and they told be basically they wouldn't do anything. From the comments I have read it seems to be a common problem. DONT BUY THIS TV. ITS A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY.
Summary: I bought this TV my sophomore year in college and years later it's still great! It has two HDMI inputs, a PC-IN RGB, USB, audio out, and all the stuff to hook up a gaming station. I've had it plugged into my wii and my computer nonstop. I was going use speakers with it, but the built in speakers are so great it wasn't worth it.
Summary: Bought this in January 2012 from KMart. it is now May 2013. No problems whatsoever, and it is switched on and in use an average of 17 hours a day, almost 7 days a week. My only complaint (and it's my own fault for not checking this before buying it) is that it has no Audio output. So it's complicated to connect to my stereo system.
Summary: This TV was great for about 15 months, then the screen went blank. I did not think to call Sylvania since I did not buy a warranty package from Target. We had no Sylvania repairmen in the area so I took the back off and looked for an obvious problem. There were two basic board on the back, so I thought how hard could it be...long story short I got the two boards from ShopJimmy.com and there still was no change in the picture(black with colored vertical lines).
Summary: Read all the negative reviews on this TV and you will see the same thing over and over again. This TV has power supply issues and will just die shortly after 1 year. Spend the extra $20-50 bucks and get a tv that will last.
Summary: I usually don't write reviews, but this was such a bad experience I felt I had to write one. I purchased this TV from KMART in March 2012. It had a great clear picture and a great price. In June 2012, about 2 weeks after the 3 month labor warranty, the sound started going out after the TV was running. I had to either change the channels several times or turn it off and then back on for the sound to come back on again.
Summary: This item has power issues and will only last 13 months You pay for what you get, so buy the extended warranty if you need to get this TV Customer service is a joke and I am totally upset with this purchase.
Summary: I had this tv for 4 months before the screen went out on it. 4 months! Not only the short time owned, but it is also in a room that the tv is very rarely on. It may have been used 30 times before going out on me. After being left on hold for almost an hour with customer support, they tell me it is the power supply. Ok, then fix it? NO! I have to pay them $70 to fix a tv that cost me only $240 4 months before hand. That is TWO THIRDS (2/3) of the original cost!
