Summary: I bought this from a Radio Shack as the display model 2 years back. It didn't have a box or anything but the tv worked fine. It's not too heavy, so if you want to take to a friends house it works The display lag is tolerable for gaming and holds up decently under most situations. It doesn't have terrible chop and the lighting is decent for the price. 720p is the max it will display at.
Summary: I've read some bad reviews on Sylvania TV's and I kinda feel lucky. I've had this model (lc320slx) for 3 and sum years without any issues. I also have Sylvania's old 19" tv/VHS player combo that still works both parts, I've had it for 13+ years with no issues.
Summary: I feel bad for all the folks here who've had bad experiences with this TV. I've had mine for over 2 years, and the picture is as good as the day I bought it. No signs of "ghosting" or "burn" to be found. I had an old Sylvania Superset I bought back in the 80's and it lasted forever. In fact, I was still using it when I decided to treat myself to my first flat screen and bought this one. Also have the 22 inch model of this in the bedroom and it, too, works great!
Excerpt: Given the fact that this purchase was made for our son as a tv for gaming and not for tv viewing, I thought the pre-Christmas promo price was more than fair. I have owned Sylvanias in the past and felt that an extended warranty was not needed. The quality of the picture is fine for the 32 inch and although there is hesitancy once it is turned on, it works fine. I think that this was a good deal for the money and intended use.
Excerpt: I purchased this TV when my old one died (ie started buzzing and smoking). I was at a disadvantage as to the TV to get, because the entertainment center that I have would only hold a TV that was so wide. Since this TV is not quite 32" (considered in the 32" class, it's actually 31.5 diagonally), it just fits in my cabinet and it saved me from getting a 26" instead. So far I've had this model about a month and it works great.
Excerpt: This was purchased after our 10 year old box TV finally died. It was put in our family room which is pretty large and we were concerned that the size would be too small for the room. On the contrary, it's perfect. The picture quality is crisp and clear and we enjoy watching our favorite programs on it. The sound is also very good. Even when the volume is turned way up, which it often is, the sound comes out clear.
Excerpt: My family and I bought two of these televisions last year when our main tube television in the living room finally gave out and I decided the televsion in my man cave needed to be upgraded. Since it was just after taxes and Target had these on sale, and the fact I get a discount there, I decided to pick up a couple of these. The picture on the LCD screen is decent, but it does have a little blur to it occasionally when watching standard defintion.
Excerpt: So, My family purchased this tv almost 6 months ago from BJs. It is very clear, and hi-def movies appear in hi-def. I also play video games for my ps2 on it, they work well but being low-quality games the picture is low quality. The one qualm I found with this tv is it was hard to program. I still get a message every time I turn it on that says to program the channels. Having lost the manual I have no idea how to do that, otherwise the manual would know.
Summary: Great for a cheaper TV that isn't huge and for someone who does not watch a lot of TV. Turns on automatically with my DVD player and the HDMI cables; shuts off automatically if no one pushes play. No issues. Good sound. Lots of plug ins. Bought a year and a half ago. Great picture for the 720p version.
Summary: For the price this tv is the best tv i have bought in the lat 3 tv's I have purchased. So simple to set up and great picture I have no problem with the sound and could not find a 32in tv anywhere for this price. Best tv for the price by far.
