Excerpt: My parents were in need of a new television after their RCA television gave out within a year (never get anything RCA!). After doing some research, my mom finally decided to purchase a 26 inch Sylvania television.
Excerpt: I bought a Sylvania 27 inch Television from Meijer two years ago and I do not recommend purchasing one of these. It is not a terrible buy, the picture is good and it functions okay. The big issue that I’ve had with this TV is the audio.
Summary: I've had this for less than two years and the sound quality just got awful. We can't really even use the tv any more. I don't know how to describe it...it's like we're listening to the tv under water or something. I can't afford a new TV every two years though! I'm very mad!
Summary: I am really pleased with this TV. Great product for the price. We wanted something small to go in our bedroom. Images are sharp and the sound is good (despite some negative reviews) for a small TV. Inputs: HDMI, component, composite and others give you connection options and a PC input allows you to use the TV as a computer monitor. It was almost impossible to determine from the manual and Sylvania's on-line resources what HD resolution [720p, etc...] the TV runs at.
Summary: I have the larger 32" in in the living room the picture and problem free last 2 years are what sold me on getting this one for the bedroom. It's clear and crisp, its not that loud but that is what the living room TV is for. I'd recommend this tv to anyone and when the time and money comes I'll get a bigger Sylvania, great quality system.
Summary: We purchased this sylvania based on price to replace an ancient 13" RCA crt tv that had no inputs except a coax f connector and the screw terminals for the rabbit ears - (anyone want an antique?) The sound quality, as noted by others, is quite poor and there's only one watt of audio power per channel. The customer service people are unable (unwilling?
