The best picture quality, can't tolerate exposed front facing speakers. Sorry!

Summary: This TV blows you away with it's picture quality which is light years away from the competitors: Samsung, Panasonic, LG. But the disastrous thing that Sony did to themselves is those front facing speakers blare at you like "deal with me" as I quote from CNET's review. This makes the TV very ugly and most people in this market segment have their favorite audio systems that they would like to use and take pride in.
I've had several people comment that it's the best picture quality they have ever seen

Summary: Outstanding. I've owned the XBR65X900B for about 3 months now and it absolutely blows away any TV I've ever owned. Sony nailed it with this model. The picture is a dream. The color, contrast and clarity are surreal. I've had several people comment that it's the best picture quality they have ever seen. I can't agree more. My set up is Verizon FIOS 75/75, Oppo BDP, Yamaha RX-A1040 Avantage receiver with JBL Studio speakers and sub in a 5.1 array.
Summary: The TV is feature rich, but it's the content that is lacking. Most smart TV features are really unnecessary, considering that the people who would buy this TV likely already have an Apple TV (or equivalent), a media center, a smart blu-ray player which all likely have similar functions that the "smart" part of the TV brings. I wish manufacturers would stop trying to create the smartest TV and spend more resources on the picture quality instead.
Buyer Beware!!! Will not play 4k content. Its Obsolete

Summary: I purchased this TV thinking I got a deal. Dont get me wrong, it has a great picture when watching TV at 1080i and Blueray at 1080p,but if you really want 4K, this TV wont do it. Sony negated to mention you would need to purchase a $700 Sony 4K content server to get 4K video and with this you can buy Upscaled 4K content. With Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and YouTube now all streaming 4K, you can't get that on this TV. With the $700 add on you can get Netflix now i was told.
