Buyer beware

Rob, Amazon
18 June 2015
  • Summary: 60 days in developed a spot behind the screen (see picture). Sony made the determination that it was faulty and replaceable. However, even though the manufacture date is Jan 2015 (and it is June 2015 as of this review) I was informed by Sony customer service that they had no replacements and no...

The new "C"

Jerry, buydig.com
8 June 2015
  • Excerpt: I was fortune enough to go to CES in Vegas last Feb. (i think) and saw the new 8K TVs. I'm already starting to save money now, HA! STUNNING!
  • Pros: My first 4K. I like the fact it upcales all inputs. You can't get perfection out of something that's of poor quality to begin with, but it makes the best of whats there. You don't realize how clear it is until you see a Hi Def TV. I up graded from a 60" Sony, and the extra 5" is very worth the up...
  • Cons: Non as of yet. I've only had it for about a month.

Married Guy in his thirties, Amazon

  • Summary: Bought this TV in May 2015. Tremendous amount of back light bleeding. See associated images. This is not what I would expect from a $2000+ TV. SONY should be ashamed of putting this item on the shelf.

3rd Set

Chris r, Crutchfield
6 May 2015
  • Summary: Going on my third set. First one had some pixels go black, almost like the screen had a bruise. After a couple of weeks it also started powering itself off. However, the set had good uniformity and great color.
  • Pros: Color and overall ease of use.
  • Cons: Uniformity, and other technical issues.

Sony XBR-65X850B

Bob S., Crutchfield
4 May 2015
  • Summary: Excellent TV. Great variation of settings, beautiful picture quality, easy to assemble (stand), easy to set-up (installation w/Roku/cable box etc.), slim profile, more glare than our previous television (also a Sony) but could be due to head-on view/no tilt or the size.

Detailed Review from a 4k Video Gamer

Ambidex, Amazon
3 May 2015
  • Summary: There's that big question that goes around with these types of TV's and people want to know if it really is worth it making the jump from 1080p to 4k? Personally I'd say it really depends on your situation, for me I didn't think it was worth jumping to 4k for the price at this current moment because...

An Amazing Upgrade

Anonymous, Crutchfield
1 May 2015
  • Summary: Worth the investment for the up conversion alone. Granted my previous set was 8 years old but the difference in quality is striking and everything looks better from local news to sports to streamed content and then some.

I have been Wowed!

Nick R., Crutchfield
27 April 2015
  • Summary: Excellent 4K 3D OLED TV for the price! Amazing picture quality and a lot of apps built. Even my older DVD's look better on this TV with the Sony upscaling 4K Blu-ray player. I was all set to buy the Sharp 70" 4K, until I saw the viewing angles on the Sharp were no where near as good as the Sony...
  • Pros: Everything was super easy to set up HD and 4K Picture is amazing Fully loaded with tons of apps Touch pad controller and regular full controller Comes with two 3D passive glasses in the box Plenty of connections. Best Value for the price Makes non 4K content look so much better. Looks absolutely ...
  • Cons: I haven't found any yet!
