Summary: For the amount of money that this TV cost I don't believe it wsa worth it. I was told lthat the picture screen has to"burn" in for a good 5000 hours before I would see a big difference. A great disappointment.
Pros: size of screen
Cons: The picture quality was not as good as it was in store
Summary: Love the look, stand is classy, speakers look cool, finally a TV with decent sound without having to buy a sound bar or surround sound. I have high frequency hearing loss, sound is good. 4K picture is superb, but available content is disappointing. Sony needs to get a whole lot more content out to us! Needs a 3rd HDMI connection.
Why not a frameless? I have surround sound - don't need those speakers...

Summary: The picture looks amazing. I was looking at purchasing this TV, but have not, the reason being is that it isn't frameless and has those speakers on the ends. While they may be nice compared to your standard crappy TV speakers, just about any center channel and L/R stereo speakers are going to be better. A lot of people buying at TV at this price point are going to have surround sound, and not need to use the TV speakers and a 70 inch TV is not as wide as this.
Summary: The XBR-65 delivers amazing picture with great sound. The 3D experience was out of this world. The cost is high, but I found it worth it for next generation. Looking forward to more content for it delivered over the server. The one drawback currently in my opinion is that most Blue Ray disks are only formatted for widescreen with letterbox. I hope this changes as the content catches up to the TV.
Summary: I think everyone should have this but, you know that feeling that you get when something looks so real that it's uncomfortable? Well, that's what it does, but you can get used to it. Also, the special glasses become pitch black when you turn them sideways. So you can't lay down and watch TV. I'd recommend that before you switch, you should put your current TV on high color depth. Just a little deeper in color every day.
