Summary: I was surprised how good the picture is after having seen it first at CES. Even after calibrating it away from the over-hyped preset picture modes this TV still delivered on some of my favourite shows like Breaking Bad and Dexter. Pros: + Exceptional Color Rendition and super sharp resolution + Clarity and sense of depth in images + 65 watt 2.2 channel speakers are loud and sound great + Less judder than other LED TVs even with the Motionflow setting off Cons: - Side...
Summary: I fell for the lies of the Sony sack of s&!£ sales rep. Demo'ed house of cards in 4k off of their in-store only media server. Come to find out that netflix is too stupid to let their content stream to my TV because it is a X9005A. The only steam to the X9005B. My is the second rev of the A model. with the 4k decoding hardware built in. Save your cash, buy a decent HD 3D TV for a third of the cost. There won't be squat in content 4K for years.
Summary: I love this television. It has the best picture out of all the 4k televisions I check out! Sure the 4K content is somewhat lacking right now but so was the HD content when I bought my Sony XBR 1080 tv back in 2006 and now look at the HD content available. The sony from 2006 has a great picture and never has given me any problems so Im expecting the same out of this set as well. The 4K upscaling definitely makes movies better.
Summary: After placing the TV on the wall mount we started playing the demos. After watching the demo there is a 5 inch gradient line going across the center of the screen. There are also tiny lines at the top of the screen. I tried everything to get rid of the lines but had to call Sony customer service today. They said a tech person will call me within 24 hours. Oh my, very disappointed today but once the issue is resolved the picture quality looks fabulous!
Excerpt: The tv has a stunning picture. The 4k upscaling is awesome. Buy the xbr55x900"b" instead, because the A model does not have the chip to get any content in 4k like Netflix etc. No where in my research was I made aware of this even when comparing models with a Sony rep. They told me the only difference was extended dynamic range and active 3D. Bottom line, now I have to throw down $ for the media player if I EVER want to get 4k content. I have always been a Sony guy.

Summary: Not sure if I can give it any stars. I just received my tv from Best Buy and as soon as it was installed and turned on, the screen is completely defective. There is a thick black cloud that runs from top to bottom of the left center of the screen and the lest edge of the screen is distorted and has a green colored bleed in. What the hell Sony??
Excerpt: It seems like my TV buying cycle is every seven years so it was time to retire the 50 inch Sony SXRD rear projection unit. Using in-store picture comparisons and on-line reviews, I ended up with the 55 inch Sony 900B paired with a Sony S6200 Blu-ray player. Pricing included a wireless subwoofer that adds just the right amount of low end punch.CNET had a review of the 65 inch version that included key configuration settings which helped in original set up.
