Summary: As a limited but very practical test, I evaluated several of this year’s Sony and Samsung 4K displays using pristine Nikon 3300 24M pixel photographs. These pictures native resolution is 6000*4000 and were loaded onto the display at the store using my USB stick. The photographs were taken to highlight dynamic range with with back-light sun or sky, with areas of shadow detail carefully preserved using ViewNX2 RAW processing and with a calibrated LG 2560*1600 IPS monitor.
Summary: Let me start out by saying that I do not own this tv. I am a home theater salesman, and when the store is slow i like to watch the display of this tv in my store. If this offends you, click away. Pros: 4k. At 55 and 65 inch, the 4k makes a noticeable difference to me. Tiny details are crystal clear, movie scenes look life-like, nature scenes are breathtaking. 5/5 Triluminos. The only way i can describe triluminos is by this analogy.
Summary: If you're looking for a 4K TV and have the option to choose any other model, please do so. Until more content comes out one of the biggest benefits to 4K TVs is the ability to watch 3D in full 1080p Resolution. According to Sony's website both the 55" and the 65" version like all other 4K TVs on the market have this ability. Well that's a complete lie.
