Summary: After placing the TV on the wall mount we started playing the demos. After watching the demo there is a 5 inch gradient line going across the center of the screen. There are also tiny lines at the top of the screen. I tried everything to get rid of the lines but had to call Sony customer service today. They said a tech person will call me within 24 hours. Oh my, very disappointed today but once the issue is resolved the picture quality looks fabulous!
Excerpt: The tv has a stunning picture. The 4k upscaling is awesome. Buy the xbr55x900"b" instead, because the A model does not have the chip to get any content in 4k like Netflix etc. No where in my research was I made aware of this even when comparing models with a Sony rep. They told me the only difference was extended dynamic range and active 3D. Bottom line, now I have to throw down $ for the media player if I EVER want to get 4k content. I have always been a Sony guy.

Summary: Not sure if I can give it any stars. I just received my tv from Best Buy and as soon as it was installed and turned on, the screen is completely defective. There is a thick black cloud that runs from top to bottom of the left center of the screen and the lest edge of the screen is distorted and has a green colored bleed in. What the hell Sony??
Excerpt: It seems like my TV buying cycle is every seven years so it was time to retire the 50 inch Sony SXRD rear projection unit. Using in-store picture comparisons and on-line reviews, I ended up with the 55 inch Sony 900B paired with a Sony S6200 Blu-ray player. Pricing included a wireless subwoofer that adds just the right amount of low end punch.CNET had a review of the 65 inch version that included key configuration settings which helped in original set up.
Pros: All the connections options I could ever need, Best looking TV out there, Easy To Set Up, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound Quality
Excerpt: Those of you are debating about what kind of 4K tv to buy. Buy this one. Sony is the best!!!
Pros: All the connections options I could ever need, Best looking TV out there, Do I Need To Say More, Easy To Set Up, Energy Efficient, Good Remote Control, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound Quality, LED-backlit, Reduced Glare
Summary: I cant believe there hasn't been any lawsuits against Sony or LG for misleading consumers and deceptive conduct...they shouldn't be displaying specially mastered 4k clips in the stores... after buying this TV, buying a 4K DVD player and buying all the lousy 4K DVDs out there, none of them looked anywhere close to what they are showing in the stores... the average consumer wont understand the technicalities involved..
Excerpt: I have been a plasma owner for nearly 10 years, and I initially planned to replace an old Panasonic plasma with Samsung's excellent PNF 8500 plasma. However, when I saw the Sony XBR 900B, I was floored by the picure quality. The colors were vibrant without the oversaturation you see on a lot of LEDs, but it was also clear (even in the showroom) that it had fantastic black levels.
Pros: Accurate colors, A Lot Of Built-in Apps, Amazing picture quality, Deep Black Levels, Lots of Picture Options, Powerful Clear Sound
Cons: Overall Look Of Speakers, Thick For Wall Mounting
