Summary: This is a review made by an ordinary user. I purchased here about a year ago. The 3D quality is great. Even though you use 3D sync transmitter (must) still sometimes the signal fails. The screen is harmless for vision. Regular TV quality is poor. Though it is less than a year old, the screen has got 4” wide (black) vertical lines. Sony customer service refused to repair (against the warranty); because I lost the receipt.
Excerpt: No doubt the Sony Bravia is a wonderful TV. You will be satisfied with the picture and sound. My problem is with the warranty I've had the TV for 3 months and a line about 2" wide and all the way down the TV developed. At first I was told the TV will be repaired by a tech in 7-10 days. I get a call 2 days later saying the the part needed is on back order.
Summary: I have owned one for 5 months and have spent hours and hours adjusting and fighting the beast. The Sony support has been unhelpful and argumentive. With that out of the way please know the base TV functions as expected. It is the internet services with a Sony USB wireless stick that have brought most of the frustrations. Sony servers unable connect, etc. Sony has delivered better Cameras and service for them. Maybe I should have stayed there with Sony.
