PC Magazine
26 February 2011
  • Conclusion: The 55-inch LED-backlit Bravia KDL-55HX800 delivers solid 3D imagery, and an even-better 2D picture. Features are plentiful, but you'll pay dearly for this cutting-edge HDTV.
  • Pros: 3D-ready. Very good 3D and 2D picture quality. Attractive cabinet. Plenty of Web apps.
  • Cons: Expensive. 3D glasses and transmitter cost extra. Some minor backlight blooming. Glasses are heavy and can become a bit uncomfortable when worn for long periods.

The Sony Bravia HX800 series is a family of 3D-enabled, 1080p LED HDTVs with a 240Hz refresh rate and a slew of Web apps.
  • Pros: Cool remote with power button on back, Surround sound has a lot of depth
  • Cons: Colors are a little off and require tweaking, Menus take up the entire screen
