Sony is not worth the money

oviajante, Ebay
10 July 2013
  • Summary: I have owned this tv for 3.5 years. It just developed a broad dark vertical band across 1/4 of the screen. It's out of warranty and the cost to fix it is more than the cost of a new tv. These tv's were more expensive when I bought it. I paid $1,500 for 3.5 years of use. That's not value for the money. I have had better luck with Vizio.

Sony KDL-46VL160 46 in. HDTV TV

rajulak, Ebay
5 April 2010
  • Summary: I always prefer to buy Sony products since they are dependable, almost maintainence free. I had a very good idea and information about Sony KDL-46VL5100 46 in. HDTV TV and I saw this ad in ebay and decided to buy it. Unfornately the TV developed problems from day two like switching to standby mode by itself, Volume going down to zero by itself and the picture quality not so good.

Bravia just keeps getting better

P. Estwick, Amazon
19 January 2010
  • Summary: Ok..So I already have the 46-5100 in the Bravia series..nice TV but I had recurring problems with one of the two of them and eventually was introduced to this baby to replace the irritable one..the KDL 46VL160. I am thoroughly blown away with the amount of variety on this TV System. Internet, 7HDMI ( 4 HD inputs),Picture in Picture is back and numerous options for accessing functions.

Amazing TV!

Patricia Hampton, Amazon
2 January 2010
  • Summary: I absolutely LOVE this TV! The picture is clear, I have had no motion issues and the color is both brillant and natural looking at the same time. It doesn't take up much more space than my old 200 pound 32 inch tube TV but it is all picture. It's easy to plug in and use. Switching picture modes to eliminate strips on the sides or bottom is easy and their are four choices so you find the right one with a push of a button.

What a dream!!!

Wirerunnernyc "Benny", Amazon
3 October 2009
  • Summary: Bought this TV plus Sony BDV-T11 (Blu-ray Home Theater). Now, I can put a DVD in, and it turns on TV and starts playing onscreen! No menu surfing. Very nice! Easy out-of-the-box setup. As other reviewers mentioned...Turn off light sensor!!! Sony should disable this feature. It really does make the picture quality look really bad. Thanks to previous reviewers for mentioning this. You save me hours of grief. My main concern was reliability.

Great TV

Richard Thomas Stone "Rick Stone", Amazon
2 September 2009
  • Summary: This TV has plenty of inputs and outputs to hookup all of my components. The picture is excellent and the remote is easy to use and program for other components. I also purchased the internet video link box which is a nice addition. I would recommend this TV to anyone looking for a great picture and easy to setup.
