SECOND REVISION & UPDATE: calibrated settings (non-official)
John Smith, Amazon
29 September 2013
Summary: (EDIT, May 19, 2014: I forgot to mention that this TV is capable of receiving 24p output. I had known about this function on my Blu-ray player, but never bothered to try it until now. Bottom line: does it make a difference? That depends on the source material. Over all, I would call the effect noticeable, but not dramatic. There was slight improvement on some DVDs and Blu-rays; on others, nothing.
Summary: its a very good tv for the regular movie watching. motion is a little unreal because of the 120 motion flow but it is better for documentaries and reality tv shows. i ended up returning the tv because of some blooming effect on the screen and input lag for gameplay was little too slow. but if regular tv watching is your thing there is no reason why not to buy this tv.
Summary: Great color right out of the box. Easy to set up and play. Sony has been around our household for a long time. Always have had little or no problems with them, no returns, and they have lasted a long time, this TV probably will too. This LED/LCD combination seems to work well in providing a pretty good picture. Not great - but very good for the price. Over-all pleased with the sound - you don't need to turn it up to far to obtain a good listening level.
Summary: I bought two of these TV's, one to hook up to a PC for a second monitor and another to watch my satellite from. Correct me if I'm wrong, but everyone has this set listed as 720p and both of mine are 1080i. Maybe Sony changed this spec but I checked in the manual and it says the same. The price on Amazon went up $100 right after I bought mine. Maybe they discovered this fact also???? Both of my TV's are great and have a great picture.
Summary: I just bought this tv couple of weeks back. I found to my surprise that a newer version of 32 inch tv is available on sony website for the same price. Newer version has thinner bezel and it looks stunning compared to this. go buy newer version of 32 inch at the same price.
Summary: I was SONY customer when they manufactured CRT TV sets but I moved to Sharp & LG in LCD/LED Era. This is my first SONY LCD/LED TV and I have a 42' LG 3D TV in my living room. Colors are well balanced and sound quality is also very good. I am happy with my purchase.
