Summary: I love the quality of colors and sharp of this tv, I was looking for a 4k TV, but in a comparison side by side for cable transmission, and bluray movies the quality is pretty close, the story is different for 4K content, but well, no even 4k real player is in the market, and 4k stream is very very limited and expensive. Maybe in four years these 4k TV will be a good decision, but with a lot new features.
Summary: I was a skeptic until i bought it and saw the results for my self. Coupled with direct TV, you will drool watching this TV. Don't listen to others about black bleed nonsense, it's basically nonexistent. The settings out the box is flawless, i haven't tinkered with nothing thus far.
Andrew Arthur Dawson "Andrew Arthur Dawson", Amazon

Summary: Let me say right off the bat that I'm not some television guru and never proclaimed to be one. I may not understand all the terms and technology that other reviewers put forth in their reviews, but I am an avid television show and movie watcher. I began my journey of finding a new television to own by reading all the reviews on Amazon for 3D TVs about two months ago. I eliminated the entry level brands because I truly believe you get what you pay for.
Summary: Pros: + Amazing picture quality + plenty of 3D options + Dozens of application choices like Skype, even comes with a camera! + Two remote controls so you don't have to fight for the controller :D - Cons: - It's not really a TV problem, I just wish I spent the extra couple of dollars and bought the bigger one here :D amzn.to/1opZIwA I'll definitely be getting a second one!
BE AWARE SONY DOES NOT SUPPORT 3D STREAMING ON VIDEO UNLIMITED ON ALL TV's DESPITE CLAIMS

Summary: If you are thinking about either the KDL55W950B or the older KDL55W900A. be careful even if you do your research and check that 3D video streaming is supported, buried deep in Sony's technical bulletins .. somewhere they state that only a VERY few of the older TV's actually stream 3D content from Video Unlimited. Also note that Sony don't have the VUDU app on their TV';s - So your main source of streaming content is Video Unlimited.
Summary: I bought this tv as soon as it came out as last year's model (KDL55W900A) was getting great reviews, so I figured I'd pick up the latest and greatest from Sony. The trouble is, they completely switched up the panel for 2014 and unfortunately it took a turn for the worse. The backlight brightness and consequently the black level on this tv are nothing short of disappointing. They are on the same level as my 6 year old XBR4 which is unimpressive.
