Mets expectations and then some

Ron, ILL, Amazon

  • Summary: I must admit I am very pleasantly surprised. Picture is excellent, its easy to move around the different functions. It looks rich and well made. The only thing missing and this is industry wide, and that's a keyboard. If you're going to give someone access to the internet then we need a keyboard. I would have to add the only "CON" which is a pretty BIG one. You can only steam videos from the few apps that are available.

For gamers and movie night, reflection a bit annoying

ArtS, Amazon
3 February 2014
  • Summary: When it comes to the picture it depends on the source. I think this tv looks amazing I got the 55in $1400 almost a year since it was released in 2013. What people say about reflection is true but it doesn't bother me, I got it for movie "night." If I'm watching sports during the day it I'm not to focus on the blacks and stuff, I agree it could bit more blacker during the day but I don't know if that is a realistic expectation in a bright room.

  • Summary: This TV has a beautiful picture. The only problem I have is the use of the owner's manual. When you are dealing with people that aren't tech savvy like us, it would be very helpful if the instructions came with descriptions of what things are and what they do, not just how to do them. We have been having issues with connections between the Cable company and the TV trying to get the 3D channels that the cable company provides.

  • Summary: I have been through two big screen televisions in the past 6 years. The LG had the best quality picture for about 3 years and then got lines that couldn't be fixed. The replacement was a Samsung, and it had a good quality picture for about 1 1/2 years, and then it started getting lines, but I lived with it until I could find a descent deal on a Sony BRAVIA. I have a 32" BRAVIA in my bedroom that I have had for 6 1/2 years and it is fabulous.

  • Summary: Got this TV for 1200$ (with a 500$ coupon from a yearly sales or something) so it can't get any better than that! It's a world of difference compared to my old 40 inch lcd. I'm no pro but I can tell than the white are bright whites, blacks are blacks and color are bright and sharp, even watching cable tv I instantly noticed a difference. Everything is fluid thanks for the 120hz I guess! Also the tv looks awesome and slim with brushed metal!
  • Pros: slick look, fluid image, bright color
  • Cons: smart tv don't play FLAC (music)

GREAT VALUE

  • Summary: This TV is fabulous, it's proof that Sony sets the standard. It has great color, crystal clear display, and convenient internet features. The UI is simple and elegant, and I'm a big fan of the new design (the blue pulsing light is very attractive) I bought this TV for gaming, and it has AMAZING performance, ZERO lag! Absolutely fantastic for gamers, and it gives you the edge in fast paced competitive gaming. It's future proof, so it's perfect for PS4!
