Summary: I was rather pleased with this unit. My minor quibble was with the built-in speakers, which are a bit tinny. It wasn't a bother for me, since I use a home theater system. Good color range, the 3D looks great. I was a happy customer. Until I hit the 12th month of ownership. Right after the warranty expired. Suddenly the first HDMI input stopped working. Totally dead.
Excellent 3D LED TV on the Market, Beautiful Images!
9 September 2012
Excerpt: After a long and vigorous search for a new “upgrade” flat-panel 3D-ready television set, I had limited my choices down to a Panasonic VT20/VT25 series or the Sony HX800/NX810 LED LCD sets. While the Panasonic VT20/VT25 3D rendering was more vibrant and smooth in my opinion, my wife preferred the Sony BRAVIA LED series. Unfortunately, I could not fairly compare 2D imaging between the two because the VT20/VT25 was displaying 3D ONLY.
The Sony KDL-55NX810 is definitely money well spent!

Excerpt: The Sony KDL-55NX810 55 inch 3D HDTV LCD TV is definitely money well-spent. The liquid crystal display is truly crystal clear, especially with high definition cable. The installation process was very easy and only took a maximum of thirty minutes for auto programming. It is also very large at fifty five inches and is great for video games such as Call of Duty Black Ops. The delivery process was prompt, and the interface is very easy to use.
Excerpt: I received this television a couple weeks ago and am blown away by it's picture quality. In my opinion it has the best picture I've seen on a 55inch LCD/LED. In a tv of this price the 3d transmitter should have been built in as it's very tacky looking to have that thing exposed. The 3d glasses are incredibly uncomfortable to me and both of my daughters. My 13yr old was excited to get a 3d tv but now won't even put the glasses on anymore.
Excerpt: Just bought this television from Best Buy a month ago, it was bundled with a ps3 and a 3D package. Its quality is absolutely fantastic, I've never been more impressed with a televisions picture quality. It also integrates itself perfectly with other Sony products (audio bar, PS3) and these items can be almost completely controlled with 1 remote. Quality aside this television does have a few problems.
Excerpt: Just bought this TV for myself as a Christmas present and I came to the conclusion that this was the best choice I ever made in my life. Right when I opened the box the slick look just amazed me. The screen is only glass (well, that might be a downside for some people, but it adds to the quality and the look), which also makes it easier to clean it when it gets dirty. When I turned it on it amazed me more than any TV out there. Sharpest screen ever.
Summary: Ordered this t-v to upgrade my 32" ,HD TV. Delivery was as promised, except several hours late, came at 8PM. The white glove delivery was great, he unpacked the unit set it up and made sure it worked properly. Boy did it work properly, got it Friday before Super Bowl, what an experience, only thing better would to be at the game. As to other reviews they were right on, the sound sucks.
Summary: Still exploring the various settings and features, but it has been a pleasure to watch right out of the box. The wireless connectivity was very easy to set up and a wonderful feature! The box did not contain the stand, but the seller offered to ship a replacement immediately.
Summary: I've been a big fan of 3D ever since the first RealD movie hit the theaters. I drooled at the prospect of being able to see the same at home! Once the 3D sets started trickling out I decided to wait to see if the technology took hold and to see if the content developed. Initially there was very little content, but now it's finally gotten to the point that I decided it was time to take the plunge.
