Summary: TV screen goes off and will not come back on without unplugging it and restarting it. WiFi adapter will not work and Sony support has no answer to fix it. They can't even figure out how I can turn it in for service.
Pros: Nice picture and a good price
Cons: I love it when it works, but that is very rare. Sony support is worthless. DO NOT BUY THIS TV
Summary: I have the 60 inch model of this tv and 3 months after the warranty expired on this TV (only 15 months of ownership), the picture died. I checked the Sony Support website and there were several people complaining of the same problem and there is no remedy. Sony tried to troubleshoot to no avail and then referred me to their repair center who estimated the cost to fix it to be $3-400 minimum!
Summary: Bought this TV from Amazon March 1st 2012. dilvery and packaging from Amazon was wonderful. Tv ran great for 410 days then quit. Control board burned out. Call Sony then there answer was TV is under warranty for 365 days and no longer. I would think a company like Sony would try and treat there customers a little better and be on some help. Looks like they don't want retun customers,, Last Sony I will ever buy.
Summary: Was happy to get the KDL55EX640 today. But turned to very disappointment after set up. Problem: It's little bit foggy on the picture. Picture is not nature color. Tried to adjust settings without success. HUE is in grey column and unable to be adjusted. Sony tech support on chatting suggested to power off tv and unplug outlet, plug it back and turn on tv after 60 seconds to see if HUE can be working.
