Sony has been quite busy these last few months, with a number of new releases almost going right and left. Among the latest in Sony’s line of flat panel LCD television sets is the Sony Bravia KDL-46V3000.
It is obvious that this beauty aims to please. With 46 inches of screen encased in a glossy piano-black bezel sitting prettily on its rectangular stand, you will not have any problems in putting it in your living room, your bedroom or your den, or wherever you want it to be in. Wherever it is placed, it is sure to make for an attractive focal piece, simple, elegant and classy.
Of course, how the product looks like when it is off is so much different when it is turned on. Fortunately, the Sony Bravia KDL-46V3000 also hits its mark in this area. Colors are crisp and natural, as can be expected from an LCD HD TV set. All colors certainly look alive when you view a picture on the Sony Bravia KDL-46V3000’s screen. Also, Sony’s very own Advanced Contrast Enhancer allows the shadows and the blacks in any picture go even deeper, but without sacrificing detail. This is thanks to the dynamic contrast of this set, which is pegged at 13,000:12.
Another delicious feature of the Sony Bravia KDL-46V3000 is its 24p True Cinema, which makes movie and video viewing a dreamy experience. In addition, if you want to play console games on your TV or connect it to your PC, the Sony Bravia KDL-46V3000 has a decent connectivity suite, which includes two HDMI inputs, a PC video input and a PC audio input. So you can connect any console gaming device or your computer to the television without any problems.
Of course, since most HD TVs cannot fully process analog or standard definition TV input, the same can be said for the Sony Bravia KDL-46V3000; the pictures can be blurry when the signal fed to it is analog or SD. There is a little glare too, but it is quite negligible.
Anyhow, the Sony Bravia KDL-46V3000 certainly aims to please.

This display can also accept the optional Internet Video Link. It plugs into the back of the set and uses a broadband connection to stream online content. I didn’t have one to try out but have seen it demonstrated, and the setup is pretty hassle-free. Read more
