Summary: Apple like treatment on the panel glass extending to the edge where it bonds with aluminium makes this TV gorgeous, über high quality feel. Picture and technicals are great. But Sony as an OS and web experience has a long way to go.
Summary: The Pro's - - Looks fantastic. Stylish and quirky. - SD & HD pictures look insane! Sharp, detailed & vivid. - Motion is handled flawlessly. - 3D isn't fantastic but its still fairly good. - Lots of connections and ports on the back of the unit. - The freeview TV guide is clear and responsive.
Summary: I have always liked Sony equipment and the Sony KDL46HX853 46-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p SMART 3D Dynamic LED... TV is no exception. I have yet to try out all its features but so far I am very pleased with it.
Sony KDL46HX853 - mostly great but let down by poor sound.

Summary: I bought this as a replacement for a 4 year old Sony KDL-40W4500 as it had a rave review from What Hi-Fi including positive comments on the sound. Yes, it looks great, the HD picture is terrific as are Blu-Ray & 3D images but I found the sound tinny and nowhere near as good as the W4500.
Summary: This product is well made and aesthetically pleasing to the eye,the sound is adequate and the picture is stunning, but, only when you sit in front of the tv,when you watch from an angle the picture washes out, hence that is why Which did not give it a best buy,but overall i am pleased with my purchase.
Summary: This 46" TV has all the good points as explained in the reviews hence I Purchased it. The downsides are: 1. the Freeview Listing. Very Slow to update the Guide on to the TV; and many channels stating NO Event Information.
Summary: Read so many reviews on this Tv before taking the plunge. I knew about the sound issues and would agree with previous reports the sound is adaquate for normal TV broadcasts but for movies and PROM concerts its not good enough.
Summary: I've owned Sony TVs in the past, but I still researched quite a few other brands before I bought this to get an idea of what was available, and what to expect. I went for the Sony because it seemed to offer good value, and ticked my "must have" boxes - built in HD Freeview, 800Hrz, enough...
Summary: I like this sony product very much and it ticks all the boxes apart from One very important issue for me. The TV is 3D but comes with no means of watching 3D unless you buy some special3D glasses. For a TV with the speck this comes with and the price I dont see it as a no glasses item.
