Summary: I am usually a big Sony fan but this purchase has me questioning that loyalty. I've owned two Sony cameras, one camcorder and three TVs. The Bravia looked nice and the price was right but it was nothing but trouble.
TV died after 18 months, deplorable customer service
20 August 2014
Summary: Average tv but after 18 months worthless. TV stopped turning on one day with an error blinking red led. Called sony customer support which is absolutely deplorable. They offered no help and after two hours on the phone, they told me to "check the yellow pages".
Summary: Sony will NOT provide help connecting your phone or other device using the mobil app. The tv is fine but the clumsiness of the texting feature on the remote is no fun. I figured the mobil app would be a good work around but, apparently, Sony doesn't care if you can figure it out or not.
Summary: I truly hate it. I'm not a hateful person, but this piece of consumer electronics makes me have those negative feelings. Others have covered the picture quality etc. very well here, and yes - the picture quality is very good. I haven't tried 3D, but anything 2D is great. But..
Summary: picture is fuzzy - hard to access the i-manual - can't browse internet - always gives "window too large" error message but manual doesn't tell you how to fix it - drops internet signal CONSTANTLY - my Roku worked FAR BETEER - buy a cheaper TV and use a Roku with it.
Summary: My Sony Bravia lasted 18 months before it started blacking out and needed to be turned off and back on in order to reset the picture. Sony 'offered' to replace their faulty TV with a 'refurbished' model for $600 + tax.
