Summary: I was looking for a good 46" TV for my living room months ago. I found different ones and narrowed my list down. I was pretty certain i'd end up buying one from Best Buy. I had it down to 3 or 4 and this TV was one of them. I looked around a bit and eventually found it on Amazon new for $967. It was on best buy for either $1500 or $1600. I obviously saved quite a bit. I've been using this TV for months and I absolutely love it.
Summary: This description is somewhat misleading as the TV is not an entire LED TV. The EDGES are backlit LED. I thought this was a steal of a deal until receiving the item. Just be aware when purchasing that this is not a full LED TV. Wish I return it.
Summary: Note: I bought this TV as a pure "monitor" - no need for sound or fancy internet features as I have other machinery to do all that. I can only really comment on the visuals. On those, it delivers. Picked up at Best Buy for $700 all in, ex-floor model but not a mark on it that I have found. Seemed like a good deal. Picture is vivid, bright and very contrasty from my normal viewing angles - ~7' couch centered about 8' from the screen.
Summary: Having used only SONY TVs for over 50 years, I was cautious when my neighbor advised me to get a Samsung flat screen. He had done his homework and purchased a BIG ONE. So I did my homework for about two years and in the end I purchased another SONY, figuring I can't improve upon past success and satisfaction. It seemed that most people recommended getting a larger size than I was focused on, so I did get the 46 inch instead of a 42 inch.
Summary: I shopped around for over a month and no one was able to meet the price of this TV on Amazon. This was the first large item I have ordered online. However, it turned out great, the shippers called to set up a time to drop the TV off and it came in perfect condition. I trust any product fulfilled by Amazon.
Summary: Three months ago, I purchased the SONY Bravia KDL-46EX710 from Best Buy ... before later finding out I could have gotten it for hundreds less at AMAZON. After I got it home, I found out that although the set was supposed to be "internet ready" .. that TV did not include a 2 inch attachment to receive signals from my wireless router.
Summary: I have owned this TV for 4 months and as far as picture and sound, I have very pleased. Even non HD shows look pretty good (many models don't). As far as some fo the interent section, I give it a 2.5 out of 5. You can easily connect it but the choices are only fair and you can't add additional features nor does it seem that sony plans on providing additional content.
Summary: I bought this unit for our bedroom. Good size and wanted higher definition picture. Love every thing about it except that network features require a special Sony adapter for wireless network connection. Even with the additional cost for adapter, this set is a good value. Picture compares nicely with a larger plasma set we have in the living room.
