Excerpt: This television was my first high definition television purchase. I was extremely excited about it and had read reviews. However, when I got it, I noticed the terrible backlighting in the corners of the screen. My TV had significant "spotlights" in the corners and it was very irritating when watching a movie in letterbox format. I couldn't stand it, so I took it back and got another one. The second one had the same problem.
Summary: The Sony Bravia itself was fine, however....We bought this TV in Nov. 2010. In mid February 2011 the TV stopped working. After calling Sony they lined us up w/a repair service as the TV was still under warranty. One month later, three trips by the repair service and ordering of two parts and they can't fix our TV. Repair service called Sony and they said they would call us and switch out the TV w/a new one.
