Summary: I bought my Sony Bravo in 2005, happy with my purchase and thinking it would entertain my children and I for years to come. I paid $2400.00 for it – a huge expense for me but I thought it was a good investment at the time. In January of 2013, my TV developed the now infamous “blue blob”. Unfortunately for me, I missed the boat as Sony had cut off their offer to extend warranties on the flawed Bravos due to the overwhelming response from unhappy consumers.
Summary: We purchased this TV and it is not even a year old and no longer works, customer service is terrible because your dealing with someone from Canada. We have been trying for 2 days on hold for hours to get this resolved. They tried giving us someone else repaired TV instead of fixing or giving us a new one. I would not recommend buying this TV!!! I am beginning to question this product and there customer loyalty!
Pros: Cheaper than other competitive company's same spec TV
Cons: Both end side pictures were wider and blurrier than center part. Is this only my TV problem or common in HD TV? In addition, easily TV function is frozen and I need to unplug and restart. stressful...
Cons: The picture has an unrealistic look no depth and gave us headaches after about 20 minutes of watching. I returned it and had to eat the restocking fee. I was very disappointed and expected much more from Sony
Pros: Nice picture, OK for use as a monitor as long as you never have to touch the remote or side controls, ever, for any reason.
Cons: TV is unusuable. I bought and had to return. You could hit the volume button ten times and nothing would happen, then ten seconds later the volume changes dramatically and the inidactor finally pops up. Navigating the menu was impossible.
Summary: Don't buy this TV!!!!!!! You'll be happy for the first few months until the panel goes bad. Our Bravia TV panel went bad in 14 months!!!! Repairs were quoted at $1600. Sony is not willing to back up their products!
