Summary: Years ago, Sony was the brand for televisions but not these days. Sony has fallen to near bottom. Their prices continue to be high but the products lack features and what features there are seem to be outdated. For example, this model needs their wi fi adapter in order to connect to the internet when other less expensive brands have it built in. In addition, Sony's adapter does not work very well and is more of a hassle than it is worth.
Summary: Just purchased a SONY BRAVIA 46EX641 .. it was easy to get the WiFi going but the rest went down hill. The remote has a NETFLIX (main reason we purchased it) but there is no way to get NETFLIX with SONY in Costa Rica. Also the box shows all these APPS/MOVIES/MUSIC which you don't get... You have to purchase "Sony Essentials" for $60 a year to get the bundle..... We are definitely returning this....
Summary: I have had this TV for a few months now and am very pleased with it. Let my preface this by saying that I used to sell TVs for a living and I am pretty particular about picture quality. (I am particular about sound quality as well, and don't believe that any of the speakers that are built into TVs nowadays are worth a darn. I have all the TVs in my house hooked into separate audio systems, so you won't see me addressing the sound quality of this unit.
Summary: Wow, what a difference the picture has on this tv. The people could just walk right out of the set at you. This is our third Sony and this one is our first LED. Big difference from the LCD. Great buy and easy set up. The only negeative is it blurrs some scenes in fast motion. But not every scene, still it's a great tv.
Summary: The TV is great just as other reviewers claimed. I was pleasently surprised how good the audio is on this LED TV. Normally the thin case of LED TV's don't allow enough room for decent speakers. The bottom of this TV bulges out a little to make room for its bigger speakers. So I saved some money on buying a sound bar. Based on Amazon comparison chart, I thought this TV supported Skype so I spent another $100 bucks to buy the Sony Skype camera and microphone unit.
Summary: I bought this TV in 2009 after seeing a deal online during November. It was a our first large flat-screen HDTV purchase and I have never regretted it! The picture, while it doesn't have that "live" feeling (which I don't like by the way), is very good. The lighting from the set is great. We love the 'internet' capability. The only thing we wish it had was 3D! We've had one issue, on occasion the sound will disappear after changing HDMI inputs.
