    The W5500 is the uncontested successor to the W4500. Only the narrow angle of vision for blacks may discourage some viewers. Read more

    Small caveats aside, the KDL- 40W5500 can be considered an above-average LCD that should give buyers pause for thought. If you want great-looking pictures served up with a raft of media functionality and money-saving eco goodness, you'll find it right here. No, concerns then about its AV chops, but if you want a better-performing set look to audition one of the brand's Z range. Read more

    With some well-rounded, punchy sound keeping the generally stellar picture quality company, the only things - aside from its feeble online service - stopping the 40W5500 from scoring a perfect 10 are a rather limited viewing angle, and the appearance during very dark sequences of some subtle backlight inconsistencies that thankfully disappear during most ordinary TV fare.     I brought this LCD HD TV about a year ago. I wish to share my experience of using this tv to help you make an informed decision of buying this tv or not. On setting up and installing this tv it seemed pretty straightforward. The instructions were clear and easy to read as it made use of diagrams to show how to fit the tv stand underneath the tv.     I purchased this TV for my mother, sadly, it had a fault after a couple of months. Just wanted to put on here that after having contacted Amazon, they handled it fantastically! In less than a week new TV had arrived and the damaged one was picked up for return, free of charge. Read more
