Summary: The TV is Beautiful. There are people who say they can't tell the difference between blu-ray and an upscaled DVD. With this TV you can. I love the motion flow option. It makes the picture look more clear. Some people don't like that but I love it. The only thing I can think of that I wish was different was the size. I should have purchased a larger TV. JR had the best price for this size [...
Pros: Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Good Connection Options, Good Remote Control, Good Resolution, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound Quality, Reduced Glare
Summary: Mounted on wall in my kitchen. Wonderful picture. Tried to connect my Wireless LAN, but Bravia Internet Feature doesn't work at all. It's supposed to allow connection to LAN and Internet for DLNA, but after hours of frustrating failures and calls (and calls) to Sony Tech Spt, they finally advised me this set needs a software update. They offered to mail me a USB flash drive with the upgrade on it.
Pros: Attractive Design, Good Resolution, Great Picture Quality
Cons: Confusing / Bad Remote Control, Difficult To Set Up, Poor Sound Quality
Summary: I installed the tv in my bedroom, replacing the Samsung 37" I had earlier. I'm disappointed with Sony for such poor quality resolution. I just don't see the sharp, crisp, clear picture that I had with Samsung. 1080i output is not so good. Pros: 1) Can stream video content live from the internet (Ethernet connection needed) 2) Easy to setup 3) Exceptionally good quality when connected my desktop via HDMI Cons: 1) Resolution is not so good.
Summary: I am extremely pleased with my purchase. You cannot beat sony in quality and picture quality. I have a samsung LN40B640 and I bought this as my second TV. I must say there is a great difference in the picture quality, atleast to my eyes. I feel samsung colors are too saturated. Sony is much more natural. Plus it is about $200 cheap. Also the menu and connection options for sony are much simpler and self explanatory. Netflix in tv is a big plus too.[...
Pros: Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Good Connection Options, Good Resolution, Great Value, Simple Controls
Summary: Purchased this TV after months of research and waiting for the price to go under $1000 for a 40". This model seems to have everything a TV viewer looking for a great picture would want without unnecessary feature clutter and complexity. Picture is very sharp and true to life, using an upconvert DVD player (not blueray) the crisp images were breathtakingly real.
