    We were pleasantly surprised with the all round abilities of the KDL-40S3000 especially since it comes without all the 'bells and whistles' of higher end Sony's. What this screen does tell us is that basic ingredients count for a lot more than the icing on the cake - a very serious budget proposition. Read more

    I HAVE HAD ONE OF THESE TV'S FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS AND IT HAS NEVER CAUSED ME ANY GRIEF OR HAD ANY PROBLEMS. I HAVE MOVED WITH IT TO AND IT WAS EASY TO SECURE DOWN...ALTHOUGH I DID TREAT IT LIKE A BABY WITH A SEAT BELT AND ALL. ALL IN ALL SONY MAKES A VERY GOOD PRODUCT AS FAR AS THIS TV IS CONCERNED!     I love this TV. It's my first flat screen - considered the 46" - 1080 but found the price of 40" 720 more to my budget. Salesperson stated for my first flat, I wouldn't notice the difference but surely notice the difference between this and standard TV I've been watching. The color is great - very clear picture. Had cableman hook it up but it was easy to follow as it is clearly marked on Tv. Hooked up DVD HD and PS - great color with graphics. Read more

    [...]set-up were easy - even for the technically challenged. This set was perfect for current interface with our cable system since nothing is broadcast in 1080p currently and the cost savings was substantial. The WCG-CCFL backlight with its color filter can bring more depth to the colors blue and green. This TV model has an image aspect ratio of 16:9 and HD panel resolution of 1366 pixels by 768 pixels. The display technology of this widescreen television model is TFT active matrix. This TV model is equipped with tuner for multi channel preview, PIP or picture in picture, V-chip for parental channel lock, and teletext support. It has inputs for 2 High Definition Multimedia Interface, 2 YPbPr, and one for PC. There are no speakers included in this Sony television model.
