Summary: I just bought this off of a friend,I don't have cable but I have it running off of my computer, haven't noticed any motion blur watching HD action movies,it could your cable company. I put this beside my Samung plasma and didn't notice any blur plasmas are famous for no motion blur, the picture is great out of the box,I gave 4 stars because of price and the usb doesn't support avi only mpeg1/2.My viewing distance is 6.5 ft.
Summary: The TV looks great. I bought it for my elderly Aunt and Uncle. My only complaint is that it says that there is an RCA audio out on the back, so I was very confused. The audio out does look like an RCA plug, but black. I plugged an RCA cable into it and nothing came out. I searched everywhere for the answer. Then somewhere I discovered that the output is actually an 1/8 inch plug that looks remarkably like an RCA plug.
Summary: Let me first say that I am not a TV geek or a gamer. I'm very happy with this TV - the size is right and the price was great. This TV replaced a 24" flat front tube TV that weighed 85 pounds! I bought the other TV when the prices on the flat panel TVs (only plasmas then) were close to $2000. This TV cost $450 and weighs around 17 pounds. I don't need a lot of bells and whistles. I have my Roku hooked up to it and HD cable. The picture and sound are great.
Great picture, great sound. Make sure you buy right mount.

Summary: Everything is great about the performance of the television. However, make sure you buy the right mount (It's VESA compliant) but the mounting plate on the back of the television is very low. I made the mistake of buying a mount that is visible from the bottom. Not a huge deal, but I can see the wall attachment on the wall behind my TV. Buy a mount with a wall attachment that is not long in terms of height.
Summary: Was looking for a good sized and quality TV within budget for my new apartment. After considering different options ranging from LG, Samsung, Vizio,.. this is exactly what I need. Sony labels usually come with pricey stuff, however, this item is not that bad. A within budget TV for the quality that you want.
Chosen over Samsung for price and Clarity, awesome HDTV !

Summary: I knew the day would come where Sony came out with a well made HDTV again. I chose this over Samsung brands, because of clarity and price. It does not have wi-fi or apps, which i luve. I can't stand all that in the bedroom. I purchased this for the bedroom. What a great hdtv, very clear, and bright. The only thing i can complain about is that it does not have an input for SVGA, so i cannot connect my computer to it ? Not sure why they left that out.
Summary: Bought this 40" Sony for my 82 year young Mom who wanted a larger screen, she loves it. TV is slim and light. Works fine and gives a nice clear picture in HD. Set is made out of light plastic and its guts are circuit boards and LEDs. It feels like a toy TV but it performs real well. Has only 2 HDMI ports but that is all you need if you have just a cable box and DVD. All sets today are now being made light and cheap to keep cost down. Hope it lasts at least 3 years.
