Summary: I would buy this again. I was in the market for a 37" to replace a 27" 4:3. I bought this locally for $1200 the day after Thanksgiving and would pay $1599 for it all day long. My wife can work the TV and remote without a problem and we switch between the HDMI and DVD/VCR connection all the time.
Pros: The picture is awesome. Sound is great too. 1080i. (Don't waste your money on 1080p unless you are a gamer with Xbox360 or PS3 or with Blueray or HDDVD. Inputs can be named. You dont have to remember which input is which. My VCR says VCR and my Cable box says Cable Box. It really makes changing b...
Cons: The HDMI cable connection is pluggud straight into the back versus and upward plug. Mounting to the wall would be difficult with some mounts and some cables. It sticks out versus down.
Summary: Colors are amazingly vivid, wow! I especially recommend watching the programming on Discovery HD, amazing! Eagle shippers were professional - called ahead to schedule a time for deliver, and even unpacked from the box and setup on the entertainment center.
Summary: I purchased this TV the day before Black Friday. Now it is February, and still I have nothing really bad to say about the TV. Well, the slight curve and gloss part on the bottom slightly irks me, but that's just me.
Summary: We got the same deal as another reviewer (Circuit City). We were looking for a 32" for the bedroom but walked out with a 40". Why? Well the price was the clincher, but what a great TV. Our first Sony is a 60" that we love and the 40" is just as good.
Summary: I researched LCDs for a few days before heading to Best Buy with my Dad. (BTW, this is an early Christmas present my parents are giving to each other) When we got there, we looked at all the LCDs and agreed with the reviews on the Bravia.
Summary: I bought this TV in a BF sale. So price was not a factor. Basically I got it for cost or what the current 42" plasma are selling for. I wanted an LCD over a plasma since I have little kids and the burn-in issue was a major fear. The kids will pause the DVR and leave the room 20 times a day.
Summary: I am very satisfied with this television. Like many people, I mounted it to the wall. I wish I could have bought it without the table stand, because I feel like I paid for something that will just take up room in my garage until I decide to throw it away.
Summary: This was by far the BEST Picture on the Showroom Floor and got it for $1200 clearance at BestBuy! When I got home I thought that the Picture would suffer as I only have a Standard Antenna to pick up local Stations.
Summary: We are very happy with this TV. There has never been an issue, from delivery to installation to picture quality and remote control functioning. As compared with other similar products we think we made a good decision in purchasing this TV.
