Summary: At the offset I have to say I did NOT purchase my Sony tv from Amazon and it's the KDL-55EX723 model I have, but I thought some prospective buyers would like to know that what you buy at purchase date is not what you necessarily have 12 months on. I did not know that Sony frequently update the TV's software without prior approval and I'm sure in most cases it can be an improvement.
Summary: I bought this Tv and was really pleased with it. Now, 15 months later, it is out of guarantee and it won't switch on: the standby light flashed 4 times at intervals - which the Sony help desk informs me means it needs a new part that will cost £500 to install. I am not throwing good money after bad, and I will never buy Sony again. I feel they have robbed me of £645. I wish I had just bought a cheaper make of television.
Summary: I brought this Sony TV for my PS3 but when I started playing MW3/Blackops/Battlefield3 the TV has lag which was why I kept dying, so I returned the TV and went back to my old Sony CRT. But the picture quality was great but I seen Samsung TV's have better.
Summary: I wanted my new TV to be one with LED because of less energy consumption. So among other things this was the reason to buy this TV. Turned out it is just an ordinary LCD with a few LED's on the side. I feel misled. It works though, but still it gets very warm. I would not have bought it if, the information about it would have been more just.
