Summary: This TV arrived faster than expected. As for the product, haven't had the HD cable set up yet and so can't give an opinion of how well it displays HD television, but all of the blu ray movies (and even standard DVDs) have looking amazing. So far so good.
Summary: Forget those cheap two and three hundred dollar HD tv's on the market today. I bought a Lg tv and returned it within a week , i just was not happy with it thinking it would be a great upgrade to my 4 year old DELL lcd tv but it was not . (Yes DELL made lcd tv's, and very good ones at that) I then decided to shop around for something that really stood out from the rest of Hd tv's and saw the sony bravias at a store.
Summary: This set produces excellent picture quality, which is the main criteria in my opinion for purchasing this unit. We use this set in our bedroom. The size is good to fit on the dresser. It is easy to use and the menus are very friendly. The instruction book is easy to understand and well written, typical for the Sony product. We are well satisfied with the set.
Summary: Sony KDL32ex500 Pro - * Perfect natural color out of the box * Good sound from the onboard speakers * Very good HD content picture quality * Good SD picture quality Con - * Horizontal off axis viewing drops off quickly (image dims and takes on a beige tint). Vertical a bit better but still drops off quickly. Overall impression - Excellent overall television.
Summary: Love the TV. After comparing this smaller beauty with the 40 incher I bought for the living room, the only improvement I can suggest for it is the software. It pales a bit in comparison with the larger TV, but nothing I cannot live with. It still rocks and I like it!
Excerpt: As for the remote control, I sincerely miss the absence of RF control of TV. The remote control as a device is also not that much slicker as I had seen in a previous model of Sony . However, the on-screen menu system has been newly designed and it makes the handling of TV programs quite easy. Overall, this is a very good television set and in this budget it is definitely the best available set in the market.

Summary: Well I've had my new TV for about a month now and it works as advertised. Excellent picture and vary fast refresh rate so no smearing during high rates of picture movement. I've played with most of the settings and right this moment I'm just using the standard display. I have used the 15 pin D connection to display HULU from my laptop and it works very well.
Summary: Pro- a ton of features as you have already read about it in details. For the price, I think it is a really good deal. Sharp images, and good for gaming, watching movies, and also tv viewing. Con - it takes about 5 seconds to turn on, but that's not a big deal to me since I am usually setting up the blueray player, PS3, or PC when I pressed the "On" button. Volume on it is okay, but if you want better surround sound then you know you need to buy an audio system for it.
Summary: I've nothing else to compare the TV to except my own expectations. As is often written of all LCD HDTVs, SD viewing is OK. Actually I don't think it's any worse than the lines in my old tube TV. For me, the speakers are very good - I do use a surround receiver for DVDs. The TV itself is very quiet - no hum or residual noise. HD pictures look great. I found some calibration settings for a different Sony model when searching ones for the ex500 and they work very well.
Pros: Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Good Connection Options, Good Remote Control, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound Quality, Reduced Glare
