Excerpt: I was searching for a new LCD TV for quite some time. I was looking for a TV set with maximum possible features within my budget of $1000. After researching a bit on many sets, I zeroed in on Sony Bravio KDL-32EX500. This set was providing me lots of enthralling feature within my budget. Added with this was a charm of durability and technological superiority of Sony .
Summary: I've nothing else to compare the TV to except my own expectations. As is often written of all LCD HDTVs, SD viewing is OK. Actually I don't think it's any worse than the lines in my old tube TV. For me, the speakers are very good - I do use a surround receiver for DVDs. The TV itself is very quiet - no hum or residual noise. HD pictures look great. I found some calibration settings for a different Sony model when searching ones for the ex500 and they work very well.
Pros: Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Good Connection Options, Good Remote Control, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound Quality, Reduced Glare
