Summary: Today's TVs are very different devices than those of even 5 years ago. You really need to know what you want out of a TV because the innovation and differentiation between manufacturers is significant. It's definitely a great market for consumers. What I thought I wanted out of a TV was this: a device running on a flexible and future-facing platform that leverages the best of internet video, apps (that I would actually want on a TV like Netflix, IMDb, etc.
Pros: sleek, good looking exterior an OK picture fairly easy to set up and connect
Cons: clunky user interface with impossibly complicated keyboard remote frequent glitches in performance all about the benjamins--sell, sell, sell woefully underpowered resulting in painfully slow service
