Summary: I bough this XBR for one & one reason - I wanted the BEST LED-LCD HDTV Picture Quality ! Awesome Picture Quality - It's The Full-Array LED Feature ! Awesome Looking TV - It's The Gorilla Glass! The TV's Sleek & Sexy ! Love how the screen goes completely BLACK when the scenes demand it ! From extreme sides, Blooming is issue, but who buys a TV to watch it from sides all the time ? So, I let go of the issue.
Summary: I have had this panel and it has been trouble free since May/2011. I have no problem recommending it to anyone. Once properly adjusted for calibration settings this set 'Sparkles', everyone who see's it in action exclaims "WOW !" and when it's in the off mode is is also a WoW effect in it's contemporary appearance especially with the Monolithic speaker base.
Pros: Color accuracy / Black levels / Appearance A
Cons: Off-Axis viewing, especially when viewing 3D material and COST !
Pros: This TV gets extremely bright. The black levels can be very impressive. The detail and sharpness when given an excellent feed is very impressive.
Cons: The TV struggles on anything less than an optimum source. Our cable tv generally looked average to poor with some channels look significantly worse than others, almost youtube quality. My four year old Pioneer 5080HD outperforms in most situation.
"Great TV, CNET's review pretty much nails the pros/cons"

Pros: + Amazing Blacks (it is true that the blacks are almost indistinguishable from the frame) + Great Color + Crisp Picture + Vivid setting, while distorts color/contrast, makes the display look phenomenal. + Control of PS3 using TV remote + Great sleek Desi
Cons: - Small amount of light bleed in bottom corners (probably a manufacturing/assembly issue, and likely not apparent on all sets) - Direct viewing blooming is apparent in some darker scenes, otherwise unnoticeable. - Off angle blooming is much more apparent
