Features

The Sony BRAVIA XBR-46HX900 3D ready HDTV supports full HD (1920 x 1080p) pixel resolution and features Intelligent Dynamic LED backlight on its Monolithic Design. The LED backlighting optimizes contrast and dynamic range by local dimming that controls the LED backlight level by area for darker blacks and brighter whites. It also reduces unnecessary light emission which provides users with true and deep blacks. Other features on the Sony BRAVIA XBR-46HX900 include an ambient sensor that automatically optimizes the TV's color and brightness according to the room environment and lighting conditions for optimized settings; four HDMI 1.4 inputs that lets users connect the HDTV to high definition content playback device, one component input, one composite input, one component/composite selectable inputs, and a PC input (HD15) with PC/TV picture-in-picture. The Monolithic Design and Motionflow™ PRO 240Hz motion compensation technology helps produce smooth images in fast moving content such as sport and action movies. The 240Hz technology also reduces the mixing of images of 3D content assigned to the left and right eyes, while the BRAVIA Engine™ 3 full digital video processor uses a collection of algorithms to reduce noise, optimize overall image detail and contrast. The OptiContrast panel minimizes the reflection and refraction of external and internal light producing deeper images with darker black levels, while the USB Wireless-LAN adapter provides connection to broadband home networks and allows users to access movie streams, videos, music and more from Netflix®, Amazon Video on Demand, YouTube™, Slacker® Internet Radio, Pandora®, NPR, Sony Pictures, Sony Music, and a total of 25 providers through the Sony BRAVIA Internet Video platform. Users can also access news, weather, USA Today sports, Yahoo Finance, Twitter, Flickr photos, and FrameChannel through BRAVIA Internet Widgets which can be positioned anywhere on the TV screen for a custom viewing experience.
