Summary: Within 6 months of purchase TV won't power on. It was under warranty period and Sony sent an authorized tech to fix. The issue was with one of the boards that powered the unit. Once this was fixed for next 4 months it was Ok and then we started having the same problem.

Summary: I purchased this television in 2009. Was amazed at the features but most of all the picture quality. Bright colorful picture. Impressive array of adjustments. About 5 months ago, I started getting a double image on my screen when turned on.

Summary: I had read many of the reviews here and was very excited when I purchased my 52" Sony XBR9. The unit arrived and, initially, the picture lived up to my expectations. Not too bright, brillant colors, soft tones, etc. However, since I have had the unit I have had 3 issues...
Summary: Being a long-time Sony customer, I went on to buy a Sony's top end line - XBR, hoping that it will last me for many many years. Only after one and a half years, the TV had a panel failure (according to the Sony authorized repair tech). Sony will not help you correct the issue.
