Excellent 46" LCD, great sound, no clouds, prefer vs. Samsung LNT 4661

Summary: I purchased this TV in Feb 2008 after shopping/researching for about 2 months. For me it came down to this Sony 2500, the Samsung LNT4661 and Samsung LNT4665. However, I quickly eliminated the Samsung 4665 b/c screen had too much glare for me. It really was a toss up between the Sony and the Samsung 4661, but the deciding factor was the TV sound of the Sony. If you're going to add a subwoofer and lots of external speakers, than maybe the samsung would work for you.
Summary: Great picture and relatively simple to use. 1080 is better than I ever thought that it would be, erspecially on a 46" screen. Amazon was great with the delivery to our relatively small town that is 100 miles from LA and the removal of the 200 lb.
Summary: After reading the posted reviews and searching various web sites for product information. I chose the Sony Bravia KDL-46V2500. Major factors were the current $[...] price, the cnet independent test and review and past purchasing performance from [...]. The unit did in fact arrive on time by Eagle shipping. The container showed no damage and after inspection, signed the delivery reciept.Set up and installation was fairly easy.

Summary: I narrowed down my search between the KDL-46V2500, KDL-46XBR2/3/4 & the Sharp Aquous LC46D62U. At the stores, the difference between the 3 were very difficult to notice, except that the flesh tones were much more realistic on the Sony models. I then narrowed down the choice between the 46V2500 & 46XBR2. I went w/ the 46V2500 since it was $400 less on Amazon and less expensive than the stores. I received my 46V2500 several days early from Eagle, and, am absolutely amazed.
Summary: Great product! I did a lot of research as well as checked with consumer reports and then went do Best Buy and actually looked at all of the TV's in LCD and Plasma models. After we decided on the Sony Bravia, we looked at Amazon and they had it for 500.00 cheaper than Best Buy!!! Amazon delivered within a week, free shipping and it came via a professional trucking company. They even made sure that the TV was OK and in good condition before they left. Overall..
Summary: I got the TV a little more than a week after I ordered it and the ordering and delivery were very easy. Eagle Freight was very nice and patient; the two guys let me test the TV (turning it on and looking for damages) after they took the TV out of the box. I can tell they didn't know much about TVs but that's not their job.
Summary: We purchsed the Sony Bravia KDL-46V2500 after reading all the reviews on it and the Sharp Aquos. The picture is amazing on HD channels. I was concerned about seeing pixels on standard def because we are only 9 feet from the screen, but it is very watchable except on low budget commercials, and no one wants to see them. Some slight pixalization on fast action sports but not bad, much less on HD than SD. No clouds or dead pixels at all.
Summary: Even after reading all the 5-star reviews, I was still somewhat aprenhensive about how this television would perform. I received it a week ago and after geting a good TWC cable connection was thrilled with the picture quality of this television. We watched a movie using my 6-year old Bose 3-2-1 system (non-hidef!) and the picture was fantastic!! I could not be more pleased with the picture quality.
Summary: Wonderful digital TV with great selection of inputs. Only negative I can think of is maybe the analog channels aren't quite right. In my area I am able to get every analog station in digital format, so I don't care about the analog channels. Plus you won't be able to watch them after watching the digital inputs. Use my old UHF/VHF antenna and get 21 free over-the-air digital stations in Salt Lake City. Got rid of Comcast! Yea!!
Summary: Great picture, price and delivery. No problem with the "clouds on a dark screen" that some reviews had mentioned. Simple to set up. It fit perfectly in to the cabinet we have. The Sony had the smallest width of any 46" (diagonal) TV that I found. If I had gone with another brand, I would have been forced to go with a 42".
