Summary: make no mistakes - its a good TV but its not necessarily great. I don't think it has the magic associated with Sony but that could well be because some others have caught up in the game. The contrast leaves a bit to be desired and it could certainly have done with more HDMI inputs.
Summary: I ordered this set as a fantastic price from Amazon and was initially thrilled with how it looked. However, I very quickly was able to notice a lot of backlight bleedthrough, particularly at the upper left corner, affecting about 15% of the image.
Summary: Well, I started my HDTV shopping about 4 months ago with low budget in mind. First, I purchased Vizio 46GLV LCD HD and it was great. However, it had some problems (constant buzzing sound) and the SD signal looked bad, so I returned it. Next, having low budget, I purchased SONY RP HDTV KDF-46E2000.
Summary: I purchased this TV from Amazon a couple of weeks ago, and it's been an interesting experience -- at this point I'm quite happy with it. I've been waiting for a 1080p TV for a long time, and this was the first one that had reasonable specifications at a good price.
