The Sony V series, 46” 46V2500 1080p LCD HDTV has a serious design defect causing clouding. The problem is backlight bleed-through. The Sony salesman says new models manufactured since December 2007 do not have the problem. I would pay particular attention to the forums and Google, “Sony backlight bleed-through.” I wish I had read a little more before buying this model. I have had this TV for about a year now and I paid nearly twice the current price but, believe me, it has been worth it. I currently have an HD cable service to view movies in full 1080 and the resolution is mind blowing. Sometimes you just want to touch and grab the objects from the TV because they look like they are about to jump out of the TV. Expertise: Average Problems Encountered: None so far. Read more
Almost perfect. It is used as a HD TV, DVD viewer, PC monitor with wireless desktop, and for radio listening. In these regards the imaging is beautifully crisp and bright, no trouble with blacks or motion. The manual says it's 1080p, but 1080i (so far) seems hard to beat. Good sound.
