Summary: One and a half years after having this TV, lines started appearing in the screen. SONY says its out of warranty, I say it was a defective design - search "SONY line in TV!" Don't buy this TV because it will fall apart!
Summary: I bought this TV on 10/24/2011, up until last 08/2014 I was satisfied and I didn't even know that a curve UHD 4K TV was created. Yes, I know where have I been but like any relationship when things go wrong you begin looking again. In 08/2014 I would turn on my TV and the picture would have a brighter picture with lines. Suddenly, the picture would start flickering and then go back into high definition witha better picture.
Summary: My TV which is just about 2 years old and it started flickering and now the picture just sticks and starts overlaying.. I called up customer service and after trying all they suggested they said if it costs me more to repair, they can provide me 15% discount on new TV.. Wow, over 1000 bucks for a TV and it didn't even last 2 years... Not sure if I will buy Sony product in future. Overall the experience was really bad.
Summary: I really love this WiFi TV. It has a great picture and it is easy to stream to it. The only thing I don't like is how it oversamples and makes every movie and show look like a soap opera and I cannot figure how to turn that off.
Good picture could be better or it migth just be me

Summary: I recently purchase this TV and its really good, I can say its really not like looking outside your window LOL but its really good. I had a Sony KDL-46EX710 and it had better brightness and picture is almost as good as the HX729 or like I said it could just be me. If anyone has calibrated this TV and got better picture than standard and vivid please let me know your settings I would really appreciate it.
Summary: This is my fifth Sony TV and the first non-XBR that I have owned. I was looking for a quality LCD TV in the 40" to 46" screen size, and the choices were very slim. I currently own the model year 2011 flagship XBR-55HX929, and this TV has almost all of the same operational features of that one (the most important being the top-of-the-line X-Reality Pro video processor) with the exception of the full-array back-lighting.
Summary: If you're looking for a high-resolution television that's ideal for home cinema and HD gaming, this is definitely the ticket. The versatile Sony BRAVIA HX729 Series 3D TV optimizes the picture quality of content in every way possible - with the most advanced video-processing technology Sony has to offer, that utilizes their exclusive Super Bit Mapping for video, and Motionflow XR480, this television's picture will rival that of today's 4K Digital projectors used in movie...
