Summary: Bought this in Nov 2010 from Amazon, still working perfect. Moved from Houston to Doha Qatar thus bought an Orei Orei brand PAL to NTSC converter box: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A7B0YZI/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Got here plugged in the local PAL Sat. Box and a local PAL DVD player directly into TV and works great, no need for converter box as my EX400 has a PAL converter built in.
Summary: I purchased one of these TV's back in November of 2010 for more than it is now listed (as it is 3.5 yrs older, that makes sense). In January of 2011, I bought another one that was on clearance from another store. It is now Feb. of 2014 and both of these TV's are still going strong with NO problems at all.
Summary: This is the typical Sony product, that it broke just over one year of warranty. The TV turned black while I watched TV program at night, then turn back with strip of block of bright pixels. It never came back with image anymore. I had to call extended service to fix it. Never buy any Sony TV anymore.
Excerpt: We got an awesome deal on this TV from Costco in May of 2010. We paid $700 + tax out the door. I love this guy, he's become a part of the family.. we called him Bob... lol. I love how the TV itself swivels in both directions so I can still watch my favorite programs when I'm in the kitchen baking/cooking. We've always been Sony enthusiasts so I really can't compare it to the other brands out there, but I think if you go with this model you really can't go wrong.
Excerpt: When buying a TV, the brand is very important, and personally I choose not to buy anything else besides a Sony or a Samsung. I have had great experiences with both companies and the picture quality neverdisappoints. I can say that about this TV. The Matte design is something I look for in every television because I cannot stand the shine and glare on glossy TVs even thought people claim it looks "fancier".
Excerpt: I purchased this Sony 46" LCD TV last year around black friday for a little over $1,000 and do not regret it at all. This TV has a very nice big screen and is perfect in my opinion to use as the main television in the house. I personally use it in the basement to watch blu-ray movies and play PS3 games. It is also connected to cable tv using FiOS.
Excerpt: me an my wife bought this tv a year ago at first we was we was not sure about this tv but i thought why not sony makes great products so we bought it works great and it has been as year and it still working great and this tv play games and blu-ray really great very nice picture if i had to do it all over again i would not look at another tvs before this one i would buy buy this any time if i had to buy a another one thank you sony
Summary: This is the worst and last sony product I bought, I will never buy any sony product again. image quality is good, I have no problem with it and 60hz is not bad though.. my problem is inputs.. I have connected my 13" macbook pro through hdmi1, and tv cable through coaxial tv input. but I am not able to see my computer and tv screen at the same time, there is pip feature but it does not lets that.
Glitch outrage, not super sharp, a low-end avg. choice

Summary: Sony was the king of color TV since decades ago, but recently sales record on big size flat TV raised to top 4 groups: Korean Samsung, LG, Taiwanese backed US Vizio, Japanese Sony and partner Sharp, and the plasma Don Quixote Japanese Panasonic, and Sony is no longer the king anymore, this TV's performance shows why Sony now is behind (see my comments below)!
