Summary: I was happy at first this television. However, in less that 2 years the picture took on a white washed looked that lasted for about a month then the picture just disappeared. I own another Sony television set and have not had any problems and I'm unable to get any resolution from Sony as to why in...
Summary: We have had this TV for over 2 years and it just recently developed dark lines and areas on the screen that are always there and they have progressively gotten worse. I found that it will cost $279 plus tax and shipping to send it back to Sony since the warranty is expired.
Screen crapped out after 2 years. Went on YouTube and saw that a ton of people have had the same problem.

Summary: Sony only gives 1-year warranty. Screen crapped out after 2 years. Went on YouTube and found a bunch of other people had experienced same problem. I'll never buy another Sony TV again. That's all I've bought for 40 years.
Summary: Bought this TV 2 1/2 years ago, all was fine until one day screen had one horizonal line with vertical lines coming off it and distortion. Did online chat with Sony service. Agent was very nice, but bottom line was there was nothing they could do and I needed to take it for repair.
Summary: I bought this TV 2 years ago and have been very happy with it! It is HD 720p (actually 768 but the rating is 720)The picture quality is excellent. If you don't have HD programming, you don't want to go with a 1080p TV, the picture quality will not be the greatest.
Summary: Bought this tv a year or so ago and quickly got rid of it. The picture was grainy. SD channels looked like crap. HD was passable but I found there are better tvs out there. Currently using a 42" Panasonic 720P plasma and couldn't be happier. Do yourself a favor.
Summary: For the first 6 months we couldn't have been happier with this set. Suddenly one day last week something went very wrong with the picture, cloudy vertical lines, picture bouncing around, totally unacceptable. We understand that these things happen and called Sony for repair.
If you want the best HDTV that $500 can buy, look no further.
