Full disclosure

W. Howden, Amazon
7 September 2010
  • Summary: There is room on the box (to the left of the feature list) to state that this TV has 720p resolution (not 1080p). Then you would know that, using your PC as a driver, you will be limited to 1360x765 pixels, unless you want to risk voiding the warranty by forcing a higher resolution. The consequence is that for PC video cards set to display higher resolutions, (e.g., 1680x1050) the Bravio will only show part of your PC display. A bit of an aggravation.

  • Summary: If you are planning to buy this TV and install in Asia, this TV will not work. Most of the Asian countries have PAL system and this TV has no option to change the setting to PAL.

  • Summary: Almost 11 months to the date of purchase the TV totally quit working. Up till then it was fine. Did not purchase an extended warranty. That I will do next time. However, due to the fact that one year was not reached the manufacture's warrenty was still good. Called Sony and within one week received a "reconditioned TV". I then had to send back the original TV in the box they provided. No cost. This all was done with out any hassle. Hope this one lasts longer.
