"CNET is way off base on this one! Way beyond LCD only!"
31 May 2011
Pros: The reason I bought this TV is because I was able to view it in the middle of regular LCD's and it stood out like a sore thumb! My wife actually called me to come look at it because it stood out so spectacularly! Picture quality is right up there with Sam
Cons: Sound quality isn't very good, but I've never seen a quality TV with great sound, and rightfully so. The manufacture's know that if you buy a TV of this caliber, you're going to purchase a surround sound system for quality sound. If you think about it, wh
Pros: Very Energy efficient. Light weight. Stunning Picture! Easy graphics. Tons of adjustments available. Great contrast.
Cons: So-so sound with weak on-board speakers. AquosNet internet widgets are sad. No streaming video content like NetFlix. Remote control is sad too! Stand does not swivel. Cabinet can scratch and fingerprint easily.
"Excellent color, great picture, great menus, enjoy it."

Pros: Size is terrific, Color is excellent, detail in picture is superb, action response is great. Love the Favorite channel selection buttons, easily programmed. Overall, a great large screen TV, like being at the movies. Cost is very good-best price.
Cons: One con to me is the sound. It needs a better sound output, more defined. Remote's cover over CCI controls can easily be broken off. CCI button should be on the top. Screen has reflective character, which I dislike, but it does not overwhelm.
Summary: The picture resolution is excellent. Comparing Sharp with other named brand such as Samsung, Sony, LG, this, by far, is my top choice. Sharp has been reasonably priced compare to the other 3 brands mentioned. It takes a couple of seconds longer to turn the TV on vs the others but it is subjective to how much this lag is to your importance. It is a big thick (still light for LED) compare to Samsung product but overall, it has a slick design.
Pros: Very, very light to bright room picture, nice understated styling, very good crisp picture and back lighting, deep inky black levels when using "active contrast" feature, easy setup, many picture controls
Cons: Other than sound issues typical of LCD flatscreens (Mitsubishi being the exception), no major cons
Pros: Outstanding picture----only, at this time, by means of an antenna for locals!!!!!
Cons: None----the smooth screen works just fine within 12 feet of 3 large windows (no direct sunlight). The audio is good, just not loud enough----I use a vintage HK receiver, twin speakers behing our lazy boy chairs.
Pros: For the price of 1400 pounds for a 52 inch LED back lit TV which is manufactured in Japan I did not have any better option. The picture motion could be smoother but I felt on the quality of the feeds as well.
Cons: Piture setting advanced but complex I am still searching for piture settings but for HD and bluray it is not an issue,
