    The LC-46LE700E's sound doesn't have the power or dynamic range to give the set's pictures the accompaniment they really deserve. But, despite the 46LE700E's minor imperfections, it enthusiastically illustrates just how potent a technology LED backlighting is. It should also be enough to get Sharp back on the UK TV map.     Adding 100Hz processing into the mix, Sharp's Aquos LC46LE700E certainly improves on the cheaper Aquos LC40LE600E's already good picture quality, at least as far as standard-definition material is concerned. Read more

    My family purchased this television to replace an old Mitsubishi CS-35301 CRT, so my impressions are relative to that model. We have owned this set for approximately one month. I have been using it to watch cable programming (so I cannot comment about its off-the-air reception), DVDs via S-Video, and to play video games on a Nintendo Wii console. Read more

    Main TV in a large family room. Great contrast and resolution even on sports. Depth of colors in all lite conditions is amazing. In a large room it would be wise to add a Surround sound system. Read more

    I was somewhat concerned to buy from an online retailer, but I have to give Kudos to NewEgg. They've been fantastic on this transaction. It was delivered via UPS double boxed with packing material surrounding the inside box (not even Sharp ships it that way) in 3 days for free.     The picture resolution is excellent. Comparing Sharp with other named brand such as Samsung, Sony, LG, this, by far, is my top choice. Sharp has been reasonably priced compare to the other 3 brands mentioned. It takes a couple of seconds longer to turn the TV on vs the others but it is subjective to how much this lag is to your importance. It is a big thick (still light for LED) compare to Samsung product but overall, it has a slick design. Read more

Features

The Sharp LC46LE700E is a full screen LED backlight TV that is powered by ultra bright white LEDs and is a HD Ready 1080p TV. It also features X-GEN panel, Mega Contrast up to 2000000:1, Brilliant Colour Processor, 100Hz refresh rates and is designed mercury free. The TV uses 40% less energy than traditional LCD TVs and supports 4 HDMI Inputs that allows users to connect the TV to an array of high definition output devices such as a Blu-Ray player and more. It also features USB Input for JPEG & MP3 Playback and is a TV with Eco features. Sharp Full Screen LED backlight TVs have hundreds of LEDs arranged in rows to cover the entire screen, from corner to corner, providing users with bright colors whilst the blacks are deeper resulting in more fine details in darker pictures. The X-GEN panel with its wider pixel aperture design allows for bright images whilst the Brilliant Colour Processor helps the precise expression of colors.
