Summary: Had this tv several months and thought I'd leave a review after a good try out. very good in SD and top notch HD. Can't comment on 3D as I have not tried it. Picture is clear with no banding or bleed. I see now why Sharp is the best seller in Japan. If your fed up of looking and reading reviews then look no more you wont be let down like other more expensive brands.
Summary: I really like this TV. After tweaking, the picture quality is great. I have an incredibly stable internet connection but my favourite thing about the TV is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) which connects to my Sony HDMI OUT channel. It's great. The TV and BluRay sync so that when I switch off the TV, the BluRay turns off. The Sharp switches off it's own speakers and plays through the BluRay surround sound.
Summary: I cannot agree with the review, especially where it relates to the Panasonic being so superior, rubbish, you must in in Pana's pay to make such a statement. I have had the 42GT 3d Panasonic and what you say is just not true. The Quattron system providing the extra yellow ingredient makes for much deeper and vibrant colours across the range not just the yellow.
Pros: Mostly Everything
Cons: Some ghosting against strongly contrasting backgrounds
Summary: Sharp is No1 TV brand in Japan, beating other local rivals like Sony and Panasonic, as well as Korean challengers LG and Samsung - and you would think Japanese know a thing or two about electronics. Despite this fact Sharp is relatively un-known as TV makers in the UK and Europe. No wonder when choosing my new TV set (old CRT Sony served us well, but it was time to put it on Freecycle) I only considered LG/Samsung and was going to buy an LG 42LV550T based on specs and...

Summary: Recently purchased this TV after much umming and arrring and, although I have still to look more closely at its different features, I am very pleased with it so far. It provides a great picture especially via our Virgin tivo box (Our aerial is in the loft and doesn't provide a good digital signal).
Summary: Bought this TV and i don't write reviews but i have got to say if you're looking at this set and pondering don't BUY IT !!! its a steal at this price and would be well worth its full retail price HD picture is absolutely stunning and 3D is as good as anything i have seen out there using Sharps 3D active glasses.
Summary: This is Sharp's latest 2011 3D 40" LED TV model for the UK/Europe which is the up-rated non 3D LC49LE830 which is well rated especially in the USA. The 40" size is only about and inch wider each side than a 37" Panasonic LCD it replaced so it looks smart due to the slim thinner frame which has an added cosmetic gunmetal strip around.
Summary: Haven't got much experience of flat screen TVs, but am very pleased with this choice. The spec. was what I wanted, so ticks all the boxes I needed. Good size, LED, 100 MHz, 3D, 35W speakers, internet enabled (has WiFi dongle included, and ethernet port for my in-line power connection), and plenty of HDMI ports. The HDMI cable connection has made a big difference to our DVD viewing (not quite ventured into Blu-ray yet).
