Summary: I've had this for 8 months now and have absolutely NO problems with it. I kept looking for those distortions I read about in other reviews but the screen has remained in perfect condition and operation from day one. You can't beat it for the price($2,800 at the time of purchase). I can't go back to small screens.......
HATED it at first, but after changing picture settings, I LOVE IT!

Summary: We have had this TV for ONE MONTH. Here is my assessment of the TV so far: SIZE: Our new home seats us 13 FEET away from the TV. According to distance standards, 80" is easily within acceptable range. At first, it seemed really huge and I was concerned my eyes wouldn't be able to follow the whole screen but after having it in place for 1 month, there was no need for my concern because the size is absolutely perfect! SOUND: The sound on this TV is its only true weakness.
Summary: Bigger is better! Saw a 4k 70 inch, similar price, was thinking I might have been better off with. Turned the corner and saw my 80...game over. 80 RULES. Does all I need. Kids LOVE it. Wife thought overkill. Perfect. You only live once!
Summary: This is a great TV Beautiful 80" clear, crisp, picture after some simple adjustments. I replaced a Panasonic 65" plasma TV with this one, and like what another person on here stated (the sharp 80" has a better picture). I have a surround sound system that I use with this TV because the TV speakers do not do this TV Justus, Big TV and Big sound go together like peanut butter and jelly. I would buy this TV 10 out of 10 times hands down.
Summary: Picked this up on sale just before Thanksgiving. While other TVs may have more bells and whistles, I didnt care about 3D, Ultra HD or a curved screen. This TV is wall-mounted in our family room/home theater and is used for TV watching, movies and gaming. Looks great and its size amazes our friends. You can pay more, but this is plenty of TV for my family.
