Summary: If you like a BIG TV with a nice picture, this is the one for you. Right out of the box the picture was great. Very little tweaking. And it is fairly easy to set up. The audio is so so, but you can't expect much more out of such small speakers. I just use my Sony 5.1 surround sound.
Summary: There are not a lot of options when you want to buy a TV this size - particularly if your budget is less than $8-10,000 + The Sharp 80" AQUOS technology provides a very decent, large screen picture, and is the perfect alternative to a projector / screen investment for your theater room. There are likely units available with better picture quality, but nothing compares in this price range.
Summary: This is a good quality TV. I see no problems with the pictures, like other reviewers say. Maybe they got a defective one? I am really happy with my purchase. The sheer size is almost enough to have your own theater. Its really cool!
Summary: The TV is simply huge; but that is what I wanted! I have loved the TV picture quality and the only negative is that there is an issue with the video image not syncing with the audio. When I first got it, the problem was really bad but Sharp sent a new circuit board and now the problem is more minor. Since I use the TV audio now through an external receiver (with a A/V sync feature) the sync issue is not noticed.
