Summary: If you like a BIG TV with a nice picture, this is the one for you. Right out of the box the picture was great. Very little tweaking. And it is fairly easy to set up. The audio is so so, but you can't expect much more out of such small speakers. I just use my Sony 5.1 surround sound.
Summary: The TV arrived in perfect condition. We use it in our conference room for Powerpoint and video presentations. It works 100 times better than our old projection system. It is beautiful and clear. We have it connected to a dedicated desktop computer so presenters only need to plug in their flash drive and go. The only downside is that red laser pointers do not work and the green is barely visible. It is still very impressive!
Summary: I love, love love this TV, it is big, but then you knew that - but really 80 inches finally got me to that theater feeling. I've had this TV for more than a year now and it has performed flawlessly. I should add that I do not use the built in speakers or tuner, just have it plugged in to my HT amp by HDMI.
Summary: It's large, bright colors, sound and surround sound is incredible. It's smart TV capability is excellent, in addition to it's Wifi and web capabilities. I can't ask for a better, bigger TV set. You have to have a big room to put this one in.
Unless you are a Videophile i would not go by CNET
30 March 2013
Summary: The TV is HUGE the Pic Quality for the "average non Videophile" was great everything is fantastic, it would be nice if people who actually SAW/OWNED the unit ,give a review and not people who read reviews that just makes comments...
Pros: Screen Size ...I really love the Picture quality ...HD feels like you are on set....i have had quite a few LED(s) Samsung LG etc..looking at the device in Store it was okay...took it home plugged it up MAGIC
Cons: The setup process was cumbersome....the Processor moved a bit slowly at first running through the setup then again i have Apple Tv ,Xbox, Nintendo Wi ,Cable Set Top box , internet connectivity...After it was all said and Done i am happy
Summary: Without question, this is the best 80 inch Led out there now. I looked at the 90, but the picture was far inferior to this. I have DIRECT TV, PS3, XBOX 360 and my PC hooked up to it. 4 HDMI ports, all running HDMI. PS3 looks the best for HD movies. My direct TV is a bit disappointing for sports. I swear it's the signal though, because everything else I have hooked up to it looks magnificent.
Summary: I received this bad boy this morning. It was delivered by 2 very nice, professional gentlemen. The picture quality through my dvr is great, but it is wonderful when watching blurays like Skyfall, which made the picture look immaculate. I have another 60" Sharp and it has been great as well going on 3 years, even though it's an LCD. Your seating position should be about 10-12 feet away from the screen and you will be fine!
Summary: T.V. was defective. Because of the cold weather, you can't test until the unit warms up. By then the driver is long gone. Too heavy to set up and tear down and re-package to send it back. Wait for warmer weather and test while the driver is still there.
Summary: Coming from 72" DLP, I am quite disappointed with the picture of this TV, so much for Quattro! I have owned many other LED/LCD TV's and even the lowly Target branded "Element" has better color and much wider viewing angle. I also owned Sony EX 60", LG 47", Sony XBR 60", Samsung 50", Westinghouse 32". Toshiba 72" and Sylvania 22" so I have lots to compare with.
Pros: Good color, lots of inputs, Logical function, easy to navigate, 3D seems better than my 60" Sony, 3D sound quite realistic, at just under 120 pound, it can still be mounted on the wall.
Cons: Viewing angle is the worst in the LED/LCD TV class. if you are only 10 degrees off the center in any directions, the color begin to wash out and black becomes gray. The further you are from the center, the worst it becomes.
