Look elsewhere, I wouldn't recommend this company's products to anyone.

Summary: I've had this TV for over a year. Overall, it is a good TV but at the 11 month mark, one of the panels failed. Sharp honored it's warranty and ultimately, I have a replacement, and I hope it lasts more than it's predecessor did. ------ HOWEVER------- Sharp use to be a company that produced good products for a good price. I never had a problem with a Sharp product until August of this year when this one failed.
Summary: the sharp aquos picture is just fine....my problem is with the manufacturer........the tv developed white spots on the screen about 4 months after purchase.....sharp has agreed to replace the tv.........problem is they dont have one in stock to give me.....i have been waiting for about a month now and they tell me they cant find a set to give me.....almost comical except for the fact im watching a tv with white spots all over screen......
Summary: I purchased this TV based on the reviews and the price for a set this large. Unfortunately the sharpness (no pun intended) or clarity of the picture when compared to my four year old 55 inch Samsung is obvious. The best way to describe it it inconsistent. Sometimes the picture looks better then other times. It's almost as if I'm willing myself to believe the picture is as rich as the Samsung when I know it's not.
Audio / Video SYNC issues - Using Direct HDMI from Comcast Cable BOX
9 January 2014
Summary: Picture is decent but not amazing...sports looks most clear so if you want it better than the picture when LIVE Sports is playing, it's not going to happen. Speakers are weak at best - Smart Central is slow but works - LARGEST PROBLEM: AUDIO / VIDEO sync SLIPS OUT and is REALLY annoying and it happens atleast 1 a month easy. THE FIX: Go to MENU - picture settings and scroll down to bottom - MASTER RESET Y / N - Hit Y - It still saves your adjustments for whatever reason.
Summary: We bought this back in june when it was on sale. It was delivered within a few days and the delivery person unwrapped it and turned it on to show us everything's in fine condition before he left. everything seemed to work fine. We couldn't hook it up right away as we were renovating, so it wasn't until over a month later when we finally installed it onto the wall and started actually watching Tv with it. Well, the screen and visuals were really great - no complaints.
Summary: I purchased this unit in January 2013 (from costco.com); within approx 2 wks of arrival the unit began to display severe lip sync problems (the picture and sound did not line up). I worked with Sharp customer service for several wks and approx 4 tech service visits (including firmware updates and motherboard replacement). When this did not solve the problem, Costco agreed to replace the unit with another new one.
Summary: decent picture, but with sports the tv picture slightly drags when a fast pace is flowing on the screen. 2 years in and have a vertical green line down the middle of the tv. warranty was up and $1500-2000 to fix. Buying a new tv and not a sharp. Have done lots of research and they seem to be a problem all the time.
