Summary: So here is a summary of my experience with Sharp AQUOS 70" $2200 TV (model: LC-70EQ10U) I bought the TV about 18 months ago. 10 days ago it DIED. Completely died. It has one flashing white light on the front and then 3 rapid flashing white lights. I tried to "fix" the issue by myself first.

Summary: The TV grew white spots after a few months. There is no return policy and their customer service is non-responsive. Pay a little more for better quality. I had no issues with my 32 inch that I bought about ten years ago and still running strong. Apparently, quality has dropped since then.

Summary: As others have noted, this TV WILL have white spots show up. I had one set replaced under warranty for white spots, one set replaced due to the flashing black line issue, and the third set (in 18 months!) now has the white spots.
Summary: I highly doubt anyone would still buy this model considering the newer options now available, but I felt compelled to write this review to prevent anyone from suffering through the frustration I've endured with this hunk of garbage.
Summary: I have to agree with the person who wrote the review that this TV is junk. I also have the white spots and they are growing and getting larger. SHARP offered to give me a refurbished version of the same TV which I turned down because the price was ridiculous. I will NEVER purchase another SHARP TV.
Summary: So I purchased this TV around a year ago. A few months in, I noticed some white spots beginning to form on the screen. After enough of them, I contacted Sharp. They requested all of the normal things that they would need to verify my claims and shortly after approved a replacement TV.
NEVER BUY SHARP IF YOU NEED YOUR TV TO WORK MORE THAN TWO YEARS.

Summary: Sharp made awesome copiers in the 90's, they suck at TV's. My LC-70LE650U is not 2 years old and according to Sharp authorized service, it needs a screen because there is a flickering, moving around black area in the top half of the screen.
Summary: This TV is dead after 13 months of use ( unacceptable) !!!. After WEEKS of calls and follow up with Sharp "customer support" they finally said they will replace with a refurbished TV for more $$, but they can't give me a date on when the refurbished TV will be in stock, could be a week or months...
Summary: After just over a year the TV has started growing white spots and bright marks that are highly visible on bright backgrounds. A quick search found many others with the same issue. Please avoid this model and check your TV closely before your warranty runs out if you already bought it.
