Summary: the sharp aquos picture is just fine....my problem is with the manufacturer........the tv developed white spots on the screen about 4 months after purchase.....sharp has agreed to replace the tv.........problem is they dont have one in stock to give me.....i have been waiting for about a month now and they tell me they cant find a set to give me.....almost comical except for the fact im watching a tv with white spots all over screen......
Summary: Great picture. I watch a lot of sports, mainly basketball, football and golf. I own a 240HZ Aquos as well and while the picture is slightly better on the 240, you really have to be looking for it and comparing fast action sports (like a golf ball in the air) side by side, not worth the extra $1,000 in my opinion. The picture is excellent and the price can't be beat.
Summary: First off I know you buy a TV for picture quality so it gets an A+ from me on that. You have to turn off some of the settings (Light Sensor for Sure!) to get a better picture, but once you do its nice. The sound out of the speakers isn't that bad. You can adjust the settings (Turning on some features) and I say it's better than expected. The big problem I'm having is on a sound delay. I continue to get a sound delay (Lip Sync) issues on regular DirecTV watching.
Summary: I love the size and the great picture this TV has. However, the sound coming from it is pretty tinny sounding. I know the speakers are small and I shouldn't have expected decent sound but this replaced a 52" Sharp that had much better sound (same 10W per speaker). I imagine the difference is the 52" has forward facing speakers and the 70" has downward facing speakers due to the smaller bezel.
Summary: I bought this TV after a lot of research, I was back and forth between plasma and LED. I did not have any need for the 3D and decided the 240hz was not worth the money. I am using this TV for a media room and so far I have no complaints.
Summary: This is a review of tv...not Amazon. I did not buy from Amazon. I'm on my second tv from Sharp. First one bought on 7-7-12.Repair guy came out to do a check up per extended warranty agreement and said I needed a new tv. It had bright white pixels on bottom of screen. No big deal I thought its a bad panel it happens. When I got the replacement, it was ok for about 3 months they appeared again. Even more than my last.
Summary: This is my first flat screen and I have had absolutely no issues whatsoever in the first 30 days. I thought about mounting it but it looks just fine on my temp tv stand. The picture adjust itself to the light in the room and it has every feature you would expect in a modern TV. I suggest getting an HDMI cable right away for the best resolution. We watch alot more movies now and Xbox looks incredible too.
Summary: TV is great and very happy with the picture quality, only one little thing is that some sports has the effect of a streak at times because of how fast the motion is and the processor is not fast enough of 120HZ, but really is not that noticeable. I am satisfied for being a 70" flat screen and the price. The sound is not the greatest, but i have speakers and amp so it does not effect me.
