Sharp spells it right with a sharp clean set

Randall A., Newegg
31 May 2007
  • Summary: The 1200:1 contrast and 450 cd/m2 brightness is more than adequate even in bright lighting. It was difficult to see this picture take on any washed out look from the strong sunlight entering windows nearby. This took extreme viewing angles. I knew what I was looking for and Sharp didn't let me down.
  • Pros: The excellent menu offers a multitude of user programable settings for personal tastes. Not to mention, the Titanium light gray metal cabinet finish is a great look that isn't cheap in appearance. The very sturdy stand attaches easily and all cables are easily handled, with the clamps and ties pr...
  • Cons: Cons are there really aren't any. This set does make the Cable TV cable a little tight to screw on, but not excessively difficult and both of the f-connector cable connections prevent bending and crimping of the cable near the connections as many sets will allow. The Off-Air antenna connection is...

User Review

Donna B., Newegg
11 May 2007
  • Pros: WOW - Great picture, easy to operate and it got here in 1 day.
  • Cons: iPod sounds lousy through the TV. I had to get the neighbor kid to screw in the cable. There is very little room for your fingers and the cable.

Glad I didn't go for a budget TV

David L., Newegg
30 April 2007
  • Summary: Factory settings aren't bad, but I have the AVIA disk and red, blue, and greed gels so I did a full calibration on 3 separate inputs (the TV remembers your custom calibration for each individual input. I have a Sony DVP-NS75H connected to HDMI and did a full color bar calibration with the AVIA disk.
  • Pros: F-antastic picture, refresh rate, and contrast ratio. -DVI input!!! -wide latitude for picture adjustment
  • Cons: awkward coaxial input placement. The remote isn't a fantastic design by any means.

  • Summary: Well worth the money.
  • Pros: Beautifly crisp HD pictures. Comparable to Samsung. SD is ok, depending on the channel.
  • Cons: Not many that I can think of. Thing is beautiful for the price.

works fine with 360

Cecil M., Newegg
18 March 2007
  • Summary: The guy who said his 360 only worked in 480p must have either forgot to switch the slider on the cord from the 360 to the tv to HDTV or only had the composite inputs going to the tv. It works fine in 720p or 1080i.
  • Pros: Great picture, nice black levels. Enough inputs.
  • Cons: not 1080p but doesn't cost as much as it would if it did.

Fantastic TV!

Anonymous, Newegg
6 March 2007
  • Summary: This is my first LCD purchase & I would recommend it to anyhone looking to put one of them in there bedroom. It's a perfect fit, looks great & works well...what else could ya' want? Once I get the required equipment (HD tuner & HD-dvd player) this TV will really rock!
  • Pros: Where do I start...Fantastic picture, very sleek very sexy design..looks great in a bedroom.I don't have a HD tuner yet so I can't enjoy the HD picture to it's fullest just yet.No worries though, cause it does pick up some programs in HD every so often & when it does...it looks fantastic! It also...
  • Cons: The coaxil cable is hard to get to, but not a big deal. The manufactures settings on the TV are up WAAAY to high. So when you get it you'll want to adjust it to some. But with a little patience you can get pefect detail. The remote is quite large, but I use my satalite remote to run everything an...
